South superstar, Arjun's eldest daughter, Aishwarya Arjun, recently tied the knot with Umapathy Ramaiah, son of supporting actor, Thambi Ramaiah, in a traditional wedding ceremony near Chennai.
Arjun Sarja is a popular name in the South Indian film industry. The 61-year-old has starred in numerous popular Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films. He married former actress Niveditha Arjun in 1988, and they were blessed with two daughters, Aishwarya and Anjana. Arjun’s eldest daughter, Aishwarya, who debuted in the film industry in 2013 with the film, Pattathu Yaanai, recently got married in a traditional ceremony.
The South Indian superstar’s daughter, Aishwarya, married Umpathy Ramaiah, an actor and son of popular supporting actor, Thambi Ramaiah. The couple got married in a Hanuman temple built by the actress' father near Chennai on June 10, 2024, in the presence of their near and dear ones. The next day, on June 11, 2024, the new bride, Aishwarya, and her now-husband, Umpathy, in a collaborative Instagram post, shared some of the most memorable moments from their wedding, allowing their followers to share in their joy.

For her special day, the bride chose a stunning red-hued kanjivaram saree, intricately woven with golden threadwork. She paired the saree with a heavily embellished blouse in the same hue. Aishwarya's bridal ensemble was completed with a selection of traditional jewellery, including a choker, a long necklace, a matha patti, a pair of earrings, hair accessories, and bangles. Her makeup was elegantly done, and her hair was beautifully tied. Umpathy, on the other hand, looked dashing in white traditional attire, perfectly complementing his radiant bride.
In the glimpses shared on social media, the two were seen flashing their brightest smiles while the wedding rituals were taking place. Aishwarya and Umapathy also shared a fun moment while exchanging garlands. The newly married couple also posed for some duet pictures inside the temple, where the wedding ceremony took place. Aishwarya shared the pictures with just their wedding date mentioned in the caption, followed by an evil eye and sparkle emojis.

According to several media reports, Aishwarya met Umpathy during the reality TV show, Survivor Tamil in 2021. They bonded on the sets. Aishwarya and Umapathy’s wedding ceremony was attended by several renowned celebrities of the South Indian film industry, including Samuthirakani, KS Ravikumar, Vijayakumar, and many more. Meanwhile, the newlywed couple will host a reception on June 14, 2024, in a five-star hotel.
