Shah Rukh Khan with his family has left Mannat temporarily to Pali Hill, Bandra until renovation work of his palatial home is not completed.
Shah Rukh Khan, who has had millions of memories with his wife, Gauri, and kids—Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam Khan—in Mannat, has temporarily shifted. The superstar won't stay at his iconic house for two years as it will be renovated. Multiple reports have stated that the renovation means the Khan family would add two more extra floors to the already six-storeyed palatial building. King Khan was recently seen entering his newly rented Pali Hill apartment with his daughter, Suhana.
Shah Rukh Khan's fans have been curious ever since they got to know that he is moving to a building named, Puja Casa, which is owned by movie producer Vashu Bhagnani's kids- Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshika Deshmukh. Fans of SRK have loved the unity he has with his family amid the transition that they did together. In a viral video, SRK and Suhana could be seen entering the building of Puja Casa. Suhana was wearing yellow attire, while SRK was seen in a white shirt.
SRK's palatial home, Mannat has been an iconic spot for all Mumbaikars. According to a report by the Economic Times, SRK's new home is comparatively smaller than Mannat but is pretty luxurious. The temporary home will have two duplex flats which together are 10,500 sq. ft as compared to Mannat's 27,000 sq. ft. The new place may not be as massive as Mannat, but it is sufficient to accommodate SRK's security staff and the entire team. SRK reportedly will shell off monthly rent of Rs. 24.15 lakh for both luxurious flats in Mumbai. The security deposit given was Rs. 32.97 lakh for each apartment. King Khan purchased Mannat back in 2001 for Rs. 13 crore for the unversed. It became the tourist spot of Mumbai. A report by the Hindustan Times also stated:
"Each floor has one flat, and while it is not as spacious as Mannat, it provides enough space to accommodate his security personnel and other staff, ensuring a comfortable stay for the superstar and his family."
Speaking of SRK's new rented abode, it has two lavish duplex apartments, which are reportedly on the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors. The arrangement has ensured that the Khan family gets complete privacy and maintains their lifestyle without any undue interruption. It has been reported that for three years the arrangement has been done but it is not clear as to whether the family would stay here for the full duration or go back to Mannat once the renovation work is done.
The news related to Mannat going under renovation has been happening for a while now. Gauri Khan who is an interior designer has been seeing the project. The process started when she got permission from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in 2024 November.
