Iconic filmmaker, SS Rajamouli is one of the most revered names in the Indian film industry. The director is widely regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and is also known for making the epic drama film, Baahubali. Undoubtedly, the lengths and epic scale to which this director goes is leaps and bounds is way ahead of any of his contemporaries.
But, not many know about his personal life. Born on October 10, 1973, as Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli in Raichur village of Karnataka, SS Rajamouli's life beyond cinema is not unravelled correctly. Rama comes from a family of esteemed film personalities. She is music director, MM Keeravani's (Rajamouli's cousin) wife, Sreevalli's younger sister. Because SS Rajamouli was in the films, assisting many directors and working mainly on the sets, he had known his would-be wife for quite a long time.

It is said that around the year 2000, Rama and her first husband had filed for a divorce with each other. As a result, their only son, SS Karthikeya was left in his mother's custody as per the court's judgment. Around this time, SS Rajamouli had supported Rama a lot and had always taken good care of her.
Eventually, SS Rajamouli had realised that his feelings towards Rama were only growing day by day. And one day, he had proposed to her for marriage. The two had got married in a court in a highly private affair.
One day, while Rajamouli was working on a film, he was disappointed with his costume designer. However, he couldn't figure out what was it that he didn't like about the costumes. His wife had immediately come to his rescue and had told him exactly what he had wanted to hear.

Since then, Rama has consistently designed costumes for most of her husband, SS Rajamouli's films. In many of her interviews, Rama Rajamouli had said that she didn't become a costume designer because she had wanted to or had wished for it. Instead, she had chosen to do it because her husband had wanted to work with someone who could read his mind.
Rama Rajamouli has always been vocal about her husband, SS Rajamouli's genius approach towards his art. In an interview with a news portal, she had once said:
“He has a command over each department. He’s the captain of the ship literally. He’s very clear about what exactly he wants and how to get it.”
And not just professionally, SS Rajamouli and his wife, Rama Rajamouli are happily married and spend lots of time together. They spend a good amount of time with their children, and it's a perfectly comfortable space.
The ace filmmaker, SS Rajamouli and his wife, Rama Rajamouli, adopted a baby girl after some years of their marriage whom the couple had lovingly named, S.S.Mayookha.Time and again, we have seen them showering their immense love and care for their daughter.
