'Danga' fame, Suhani Bhatnagar's mother, Pooja is mourning the tragic demise of her 19-year-old daughter. Recently, she revealed the cause of her death and how they thought it was a skin disease.
Suhani Bhatnagar's sudden demise has shocked the entire nation. She was just 19 years old when she lost her life after she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease — dermatomyositis. The late actress' father revealed that she was admitted to AIIMS for treatment, but her body weakend with the intake of steroids. On February 16, 2024, Suhani left for the heavenly abode. However, her mother is still in disbelief as she remembers the tragic demise of her daughter.
Recently, in an interview with the ANI, Suhani's mother recalled her daughter's sudden demise. She added that it was a few months ago when her daughter developed swelling on her hand, but they thought it was just a skin disease. Pooja Bhatnagar further stated that they took their daughter to dermatologists, but nothing helped. However, after they admitted her to AIIMS, she was diagnosed with the condition. She was quoted as saying:
"She started developing swelling on her hand but we thoughtthat it was just a skin disease… We took her to a few dermatologists but nothing helped. When we admitted her to AIIMS, she was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis. While treatment she got an infection and her body started producing fluids that collapsed her lungs and she succumbed to it."

Suhani played the role of a younger 'Babita Phogat', which was later played by Sanya Malhotra. The then 11-year-old Suhani was one of the 10,000 girls who bagged the role. In fact, her acting added life to the character and everyone loved the way she played the character. Once the casting director, Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Suhani was one of the only girls they found to be perfect for the role. Suhani's mother, in the interview with ANI, revealed that Suhani wanted to complete her graduation and then take an acting project. She wanted to excel in everything and it was one of the reasons why she didn't take any role after her superhit film, Dangal.
Suhani also received a lot of awards for her role. In 2017, she was bestowed with the 'Best Child Actor' award for her amazing performance in the movie, Dangal. However, Suhani's sudden demise even left Aamir Khan and his team in shock. Taking to the social media platform X, Aamir Khan's team expressed their thoughts and stated that without Suhani, Dangal would have been incomplete.
