'Imlie' fame, Sumbul Touqeer has carved her stardom at a very young age. However, she has a befitting response to the trolls about her educational qualifications.
Sumbul Touqeer made a household name for herself ever since she mesmerised fans with her performance in the hit serial, Imlie. After the show went off air, she went on to become a part of the reality show, Bigg Boss and grabbed a lot of attention. She made a return to television with her upcoming serial, Kavya- Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon. However, time and again, Sumbul has faced a lot of criticism for gaining so much stardom at such a young age. And now, she responds to the same.
In a recent interview with Zoom Entertainment, Sumbul Touqeer opened up on facing criticisms related to her educational qualifications. She revealed how people have been questioning her unfinished education, while on the contrary, she is set to portray the character of an IAS officer in her upcoming serial. To this, Sumbul mentioned that it is incorrect for people to think that education is not important for her. Moreover, she revealed that she chose to put it on hold temporarily. In her words:
“Who says education is not important to me? Many girls like me have responsibilities towards their families. But that doesn't mean I have abandoned my studies. I was pursuing commerce, but I have chosen to put it on hold temporarily to pursue a course in cinematography.”

In the same interview, Sumbul recollected how she has been missing her college life, despite being in a college-going age. She says that she misses it sometimes, but as compared to the fun she has on shooting sets, where she has been making everything in her life worthwhile. She mentioned:
"I do think about it at times. However, the happiness and fulfilment I find being on set make everything worthwhile. While I cherished my school days, I firmly believe that sacrifices are sometimes necessary to achieve our goals. Acting is my passion, and I truly believe that knowledge plays a crucial role in personal and intellectual development."

In the concluding segment of the interview, Sumbul spoke about her father’s second marriage. She revealed that she was happy welcoming the new addition to her family. Moreover, she added how she feels the family is now complete with the arrival of her step-mom, Nilofer and her step-sister, and she is grateful for it all.
