According to a latest report, Sumona Chakravarti, who had a long association with Kapil Sharma, is upset as the latter didn't include her in his latest show.
Sumona Chakravarti is a true-blue entertainer and her stint in various shows have proven it manifold. After trying her hand at acting in shows like Bade Acche Lagte Hai, Kasamh Se, Kasturi, Jamai Raja and others, she basked in immense success after associating with ace comedian, Kapil Sharma. She became a part of stand-up shows like Kahani Comedy Circus Ki, Comedy Nights With Kapil as well as in three seasons of The Kapil Sharma Show. However, ever since Kapil came back with a new season of his show titled, The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, Sumona hasn’t been made a part of it. And latest reports suggest that the actress-turned-comedian might have been upset over it.
According to a report by the Hindustan Times, Sumona Chakravarti has apparently been shocked, upset and angry over Kapil Sharma, as the latter didn’t rope her in for his Netflix show, The Great Indian Kapil Show. Since the actress had been associated with the comedian for about ten years, she reportedly expected that the entire cast from the previous seasons would be retained for the show. However, when it didn’t happen in her case, she was taken aback. The report stated:
“She had expected that the entire cast would be retained for the digital version of the show, but she did not get any call from Kapil. Also, With Sunil (Grover) joining the show back, Kapil only took Krushna (Abhishek) and Kiku (Sharda) with him.”

Moving further, the report clarified that Sumona Chakravarti had analysed her stint in Kapil Sharma’s show, and acknowledges the fact that her punch lines and dialogue delivery only fetched limited fun on the show. However, what she didn’t expect that it would ultimately affect the casting of the show itself. Expressing Sumona’s anger, the report revealed:
“She always thought that the jokes on her dialogue delivery and style were limited to having fun on the show, but she never thought that this would go beyond that, and affect the casting process. She was very angry initially, and is still quite upset with what happened, however she chose to deal with it by maintaining silence and not talking about it.”
The concluding segment of the report mentioned that ever since Kapil Sharma did not include Sumona a part of his revamped show, the latter has ceased communications with him. Moreover, her exit wasn’t by choice, and she doesn’t wish to trigger her emotions again, by speaking about it publicly. Therefore, Sumona has instead focussed on other projects and has moved on.
