Off lately, Sunidhi Chauhan became a part of headlines, when a clip of her live performance at a college in Dehradun went viral. It featured the artist getting disrupted mid-concert, as her fans threw bottles at her on-stage. What people commendable all the more was the way in which Sunidhi calmly dealt with the situation. And now, in a recent interaction with the Hindustan Times, the singer revealed the backstory about the whole matter and said:

“I was performing my second last song and the crowd was having a blast. They were hurling bottles in the air and one fell on the stage as it had water in it. When I said, 'Yeh kya ho raha hai? Show ruk jayega,' so they responded sweetly, 'No, please don't'. The kids were just having fun.”

Sunidhi remarks she strictly condemns misbehaviour with artists

Moving forward in the conversation, Sunidhi expressed that the recent encounter she had wasn’t intentional and the audience was really happy. Nonetheless, she remarked that since the mic was really close to her, she might have gotten hurt. Moreover, Sunidhi mentioned how she deeply condemns misbehaviour of any kind being done with artists. In her words:

“Of course, if the mic was closer to my mouth, I could have got hurt and would have perhaps responded differently. Having said that, I am aware of some instances from the past when people deliberately misbehaved with the performers and threw things at them, aur woh galat hai. I strictly condemn that.”

Sunidhi’s sassy reply to the fan who threw a bottle at her

In the viral clip wherein Sunidhi Chauhan was seen getting attacked mid-way through her concert by a bottle being thrown at her, the singer garnered much-appreciation for dealing with the situation calmly, and not halting the event altogether. She then sassily interacted with the audience and asked them:
