Sunita Ahuja finally broke her silence on her divorce buzz with Govinda. She also shared the reason for her living separately from her husband.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja's divorce buzz has taken up all the headlines off lately. The duo got married in 1987, and it was a few days ago when it was reported that the couple had decided to call it quits. Earlier, in an interview, Sunita said that she has been living separately from her husband, Govinda, which ended up igniting the buzz about their divorce. Well, the actor's manager had dismissed such claims and stated that the couple is going stronger than ever and there will be no divorce. Now, Sunita Ahuja broke her silence on the matter.
In a recent interaction with the media, while being spotted, Sunita Ahuja was asked about the buzz around her and Govinda's divorce. To this, Sunita added that living separately means that time her husband, Govinda joined politics, and their daughter, Tina was growing up, and the party members would often come to their house. She added that as her daughter has now grown up, they can be comfortable in their home in shorts, and that's why they had taken a separate office nearby. She further remarked that if anyone can separate her from Govinda, then that person should come forward and try. In Sunita's words:
"Alag-alag rehne ka matlab yeh hai ki jab unhone politics join ki thi, tab hamari beti badi ho rahi thi, aur uss samay kai karyakarta ghar par aate the. Ab jab beti jawan ho gayi hai, hum ghar mein aaram se shorts pehen kar ghoomte hain, isliye humne samne hi ek office le liya tha. Agar iss duniya mein koi mai ka laal mujhe aur Govinda ko alag kar sakta hai, toh samne aakar dikhaye."
Earlier, in a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Govinda's manager talked about the divorce buzz between the couple. He said that although Govinda and Sunita filed for divorce, but later things got sorted in between them. Talking about why these speculations were blown out of proportion, Govinda's manager stated that Sunita said that she doesn't want a husband like the actor in the next life but a son like him, or when she said that her husband would be busy with his 'Valentine', by which she wanted to mean his work, people misunderstood and things were blown out of the proportion.
When Sunita and Govinda's split buzz took up all the headlines, Govinda was asked to comment on the matter. Talking to ETimes, Govinda didn't directly react to the same, but he said that he was busy with the process of starting his new films. On the other hand, a report by Zoom revealed that there had been some issues between the couple, and while the actor wanted to give a second chance at his wedding, Sunita was reluctant to take him as her husband. The same report also claimed that it was Sunita who decided to end things, and this abrupt decision has left the actor hurt.
