Glimpses of the same are often found in their public appearances or his kids' respective social media handles. For instance, on July 25, 2022, Sunny had taken to his IG handle and shared a cutesy picture with his loving daddy, Dharmendra and his brother, Bobby. All three were seen posing for the camera with all their teeth out and looked simply picture-perfect. Along with it, Sunny had penned:

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sunny Deol opened up about the kind of filmmaking during his father, Dharmendra's time, compared to the present era. He mentioned that during the yesteryears, actors like his dad used to shoot for more than one film a day, and they weren't bound to the scripts. Instead, it was based on narrations. Revealing his wish if he could have been from that era, Sunny shared:

“My dad used to shoot for many films in a day - from one set to the other. Imagine, how good the writer and directors were, that the actor could stick to their characters. They had no written scripts, it was just based on narrations. We have bind scripts in today’s time, but they are not close to what was done back in the day. I always keep thinking… I wish I was in that era.”

In the same conversation, Sunny also praised his darling daddy and mentioned that the latter is the “only actor to succeed in all genres of cinema”. Elaborating on the same, the doting son added:

“He is the only actor to succeed in all genres of cinema and he has never shied away from exploring different roles. Be it Satyakam, Chupke Chupke, Sholay, Pratigya, Phool Aur Phattar or Anupama – he has done it all. I wish I was an active actor in his era.”
