Lately, in an interaction with the Mumbai Mirror, Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol revealed how Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas happened to him and if he is in love. Karan, who is soon to hit the big screen, remarked, “I’m an intense romantic and I’m starting with a love story because I found it interesting. While we were brainstorming, the idea just came up and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas was born. Having said that, there is action in the film too as another side to my character is unveiled later in the film. It’s a film about external factors which influence the loves of the couple and try to stop the romance from blossoming.” When he was prodded to share about his personal life, the Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas debutant laughingly acknowledged to be in love and was quoted as saying, “I am somewhat in love I would say.”

In the same interaction, Karan also went on to share that he has a comic interlude in the upcoming film wherein he has his father, Sunny Deol’s famous dialogue “Jab yeh dhai kilo ka haath kisi pe padta hai na. Toh aadmi uthta nahi. Utth jata hai” from his 1993 film, Damini. Karan also shared that he used to vent out by writing poems when he was a kid and now, wishes to write scripts for films. In his own words, “When I felt low, I used music to vent. I started writing poetry when I was 12 and it went on to become a hobby. I still have most of them except for the earliest one, I wish I had preserved them too. I have written some short stories and given a chance; I would love to write a script too.” (Also Read: Malaika Arora 'Feels Like Floating' On Her Vacation With Arjun Kapoor, Shares Lovely Pictures)

The 28-year-old promising star in the making also went on to share how his grandfather, Dharmendra ji had reacted to his decision of entering to the films and cautioned him to be mentally and emotionally strong. Further adding how shooting in Himachal Pradesh was a huge task, Karan shared, “But dad is a taskmaster and we’d trek for a couple of hours, set up the shot and shoot. I wonder if many of those locations have even been seen on screen before. There was a waterfall too, a blast of cold wind and icicles. We had to keep going with a smile on our faces. It was scary but gave us an adrenalin rush.”

A few days back, when Karan had interacted with the Mid-Day, he had talked about his kissing scene in the film, which was shot in front of his actor-father. Expressing how shy he was and the then prevailing awkwardness, Karan was quoted as saying, "Initially, I was a little shy and awkward about doing this scene in front of my father. That would be a normal reaction of any kid. But then, I just switched off and let my emotions flow. I was nervous at first, but after the take, I realised that the moment was beautifully captured, and it was in sync with the story. I had no apprehensions about the scene. I approached it in the same manner as I deal with any other scene because at the end of the day, I’m playing a character and it flows with the narrative." (Checkout: Amitabh Bachchan Reveals His Property Will Be Equally Divided Between Abhishek And Shweta Bachchan)

On the other hand, just like any other parent, Sunny was also very nervous for he had directed his son for his debut movie. In addition to this, Sunny also shared that he could relate to his own father, Dharmendra ji as he had directed him for his debut film, Betaab. Talking to the Mumbai Mirror, Sunny had talked on the similar lines, "I remind myself that I did, so he will too. Still, given that he comes from a protective family, it’s good I’ve directed his first film. It’s important for a newcomer to be fathered and while filmmakers in our time were more approachable, the scenario has changed today. I was the first in our generation to be launched and this film made me realise what my dad (Dharmendra) must have gone through during Betaab (Sunny's debut film). Unless you become a father yourself, you can’t empathise with this pain, fear and love."
