Sunny Deol Has Been 'Waiting' For The Rise Of Deols In Bollywood, Says, 'It's High Time Got This...'

Sunny has received several accolades over the years for his contribution to Indian cinema in the last four decades. However, the actor has claimed that he didn't always get the work he should have.

Sunny Deol opened up about his family's newfound success

Sunny Deol attended the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Jaat, on March 25, 2025. During the event, he shared his thoughts on the resurgence of the Deol family in Bollywood in terms of popularity. He also spoke about the recent success of his brother, Bobby Deol's success, after Animal and Aashram

According to a report by India Today, Sunny Deol stated that it was time for his family to receive the opportunities that they deserved. He highlighted how the Deols, including his father and veteran actor, Dharmendra, have embarked on a fresh chapter in their respective careers within the entertainment industry. When he was questioned about whether this new inning in his career had put any pressure on his shoulders, Sunny responded by stating how he had been waiting to get all the work he had been offered.

Sunny Deol responded and shared that he doesn't think there is any pressure as, in his opinion, it was high time work like this came their way. He added that it has taken the Deol family years to get to this point. However, he is glad that it is happening now, as he believes that one should keep fighting and not back off, as one never knows when the time will come. He was quoted as saying:

"I don't think it adds pressure. It's high time (we got this kind of work). We were waiting for it. It always takes us years back. That's how the family has been, and that's how we are. Ise kehte hain aap mehnat karo, waqt kab ayega, pata nahi. Aur ladte raho, hato mat."

Sunny Deol shares about his future work assignments

In the same conversation, Sunny was asked about his future work assignments. The actor responded and shared that while he can only talk about his upcoming project, Jaat, he has several films in the pipeline. He called himself fortunate to be able to see these films being made. He credited the sequel of his hit film Gadar for commencing this change in his career. He stated:

"I can only talk about Jaat right now. I am working on several films. I am fortunate enough to see that all these films are being made. I've been waiting for a long time for projects to shape up for me. Gadar 2 began all of that for me. I am doing Jaat right now. I'll speak when the time is right to discuss these other projects. All of these are amazing subjects."

About Sunny Deol's upcoming film, Jaat

Sunny Deol will soon be seen in Gopichand Malineni's debeut Hindi film, Jaat. The film also stars Randeep Hooda as an antagonist. Saiyami, Regena, Vineet Kumar Siingh, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Ramya Krishnan, Swarupa Ghosh will also be seen in key roles. The film will be released in theatres on April 10, 2025.
