Supriya Pathak Recalls Meeting Shahid Kapoor When He Was 6-Years-Old, Says, 'He Was The Cutest Baby'

In a candid conversation, Supriya Pathak recalled her first meeting with stepson, Shahid Kapoor. Revealed when she first met him, the actor was a six-year-old kid.

Supriya Pathak and Ratna Pathak appeared in Twinkle Khanna’s YouTube talk show, The Icons, where both siblings shared some anecdotes from their personal lives. For the unversed, Supriya Pathak and her husband, Pankaj Kapur, are celebrated as one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. The actress got married to Pankaj in the year 1988. The duo is blessed with two children, Sanah Kapur, and Ruhaan Kapur. For the unversed, before marrying Supriya, Pankaj was married to Neelima Azeem, with whom he had a son, Shahid Kapoor. Supriya and her stepson Shahid share a cordial bonding, which can be witnessed in their public appearances. However, in the latest conversation, Supriya has opened up about the same.

Supriya Pathak revealed that when she met Shahid Kapoor he was only six years old

In a candid conversation on Twinkle Khanna’s YouTube talk show, The Icons, Supriya shared that when she met Shahid Kapoor, he was six years old and the cutest baby she had ever seen. The actress revealed that Shahid was a lovely child. Supriya shared:

"I met Shahid when he was six years old. So, for me, he was the cutest baby I’d seen. He was such a lovely child."

Supriya Pathak shared that Shahid Kapoor had no “defiant reaction” towards her 

Sharing more details about the same, Supriya mentioned that she found Shahid very warm, and he never had any defiant reaction towards her, nor she had. Supriya shared that they started liking each other as people when they first met, which carried on further. Further in the conversation, the actress revealed that there were many times when Shahid was not with them, but whenever he was with them, they reacted to each other as family. Elaborating more on the same, Supriya stated:

"He was very warm and he did not have any defiant reactions towards me, and nor did I have them too. So, when we met, it was instantly liking each other as people. And I think that is what just carried on. Though there were a lot of times when he was not with us, so whenever he would come and we kind of always… we reacted to each other as people."

Supriya Pathak on her bonding with her kids, Ruhaan and Sanah Kapur

In the same conversation, Supriya Pathak then shared what kind of bond she shares with her two children, Ruhaan and Sanah Kapur. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that she is more like a friend to her children than a mother. Supriya mentioned that if somebody starts to talk about her children, she reacts like, 'ok, ya, maybe', and she enjoys it way too much. Speaking about the same, Supriya stated:

"My children are my friends, they really are. My daughter and my younger son are so much of my friends that I can’t call them my son and daughter. If somebody starts talking about Rohaan and Sana as ‘oh your children,’ so I am like, ok, ya, maybe. So it’s like that. I really enjoy that much more."

For the unversed, Supriya and Pankaj were previously married to their respective partners. While Pankaj was married to Neelima, Supriya got married at 22, which she claimed was an impulsive decision. However, by the time Pankaj and Supriya met, they had parted ways with their respective partners.
