According to several media reports, the world’s most expensive idol of Lord Ganesha isn’t as huge as some people would have imagined. To everyone’s surprise, it is just 2.44 cm long, and the idol’s material makes all the difference in its price. As per reports, Lord Ganesha’s idol was entirely made of an uncut diamond, and it is worth more than Rs. 500 crores. Although in pictures, it looks like an idol made of white crystal, it is made of one of the finest uncut diamonds in the world.

Rajesh Bhai Pandav on owning the world’s most expensive idol of Lord Ganesha

The Gujarat-based businessman, Rajesh Bhai Pandav lives in one of the fastest developing localities in Surat, Katargam. As per reports, he runs a polishing unit along with several business ventures to his name. Once, in an old interview with a media portal, Rajesh admitted that he and his entire family are faithful devotees of Lord Ganesha.

The businessman also admitted that since the day he had placed Lord Ganesha’s idol in his house, he had achieved so much in life overnight. Rajesh credited Lord Ganesha for always showing him and his family the right path and giving all of them success in their respective endeavours.

How Rajesh Bhai Pandav got Lord Ganesha’s idol worth Rs. 500 crores

As per a report in Abplive, Rajesh Bhai Pandav was once in South Africa when he took part in an auction. During the auction process, when the idol of Lord Ganesha was displayed, he immediately purchased it at a price tag of Rs. 29000 back in that time.

While for the South Africans, it was just an uncut diamond, but it was Rajesh, who saw Lord Ganesha in it and brought it along with him to India. After installing it in his home in 2016, Rajesh showcased the uncut diamond idol of Lord Ganesha to people at a yearly fair in Gujarat.
