It has been more than a fortnight since Sushant Singh Rajput had left for the heavenly abode and his sister, Shweta Singh Kirti bids final adieu to her brother on June 29, 2020.
A superstar, who was fascinated with the stars so much that he has now himself become a star that we all will look for, up in the sky. It is rightly said that memories never die! While the fans and co-actors reminisce his on-screen gems and the talent his filmography speaks, his family recalls their 34 years of journey with the actor. Everyone has been offering their sincerest condolences but with a question in their mind, 'Why?'. It was on June 14, 2020, when Sushant Singh Rajput had taken his own life by suicide at his Mumbai residence, leaving everyone in disbelief and shattered. Since then, different theories and statements have been doing the rounds on the internet pertaining to Sushant's demise and still, there's no conclusion on why the actor had taken his life. Sushant's family is in disbelief but are trying to come to terms with life and are living with the void created by SSR's demise.

Posting a picture from Sushant's prayer meet in Patna, Bihar, where the family got together to bid him a final goodbye, Shweta wrote, "A Final love and positivity filled send-off to my little brother. Hope you always stay happy where ever you are.... we will always love you for eternity. #Sushantsinghrajput."
On June 18, 2020, Shweta Singh Kirti had penned a eulogy for her 'baby', Sushant Singh Rajput. Posting a picture of Sushant and a handwritten card given to her by him, Shweta had begun her note expressing the immense love she has for him, "Mera baby, mera Babu mera Bachcha is not physically present with us anymore and it is ok... I know u were in a lot of pain and I know u were a fighter and u were bravely fighting it. Sorry mera Sona... sorry for all the pain u had to go through...if I could I would have taken all ur pain and given all my happiness to u. Your twinkling eyes taught the world how to dream, ur innocent smile revealed the true purity of ur heart. You will always be loved mera Baby and so so much more... Wherever ur mera baby stay happy....stay fulfilled and know that everyone loved, loves u and will always love you unconditionally." Urging everyone to be compassionate to not only themselves but everyone around, Shweta Singh Kirti's note had further stated, "All my dear ones... I know it is testing time... but whenever there is choice... choose love above hatred, choose kindness and compassion above anger and resentment choose selflessness above selfishness and forgive... forgive yourself, forgive others and forgive everyone. Everybody is fighting their own battles... be compassionate to yourself and be compassionate to others and everyone. Let not ur heart close everrrrrr, at any cost!!!! #Sushantsinghrajput."
Shweta Singh Kirti had also revealed how Sushant Singh Rajput's nephew, Nirvanh had reacted on his mamu's demise, and had written on her FB status, "When I told Nirvanh the news that Mamu is no more, he said “But he is alive in your heart” 3 times. When a 5 yr old can say something like that... think how strong we should all be.... Stay Strong everyone.... especially the fans of Sushant... please understand he lives in our hearts and he will always keep doing so....Please don’t do anything that can hurt his soul....Stay Strong! #LongliveSushant #Ourheartsisurabodenow #Keeppraying."
In an interview with Punjab Kesari’s entertainment portal, Tadka Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput's father remembered his late son, who was a dear child and was born after a lot of prayers. Revealing that when Sushant was younger, he used to share his feelings but had become reclusive in the recent years, his father said, “Pehle toh sab bolta tha par last me kya hua, usne bataya nahi." He also stated that it was only Sushant's ex, Ankita Lokhande who had visited the family at their Mumbai and Patna residence.
