It's been 2 months since the nation had lost one of its brightest star, Sushant Singh Rajput. On June 14, 2020, every person in the nation was left heartbroken when the news of his sudden demise had come out. Soon, everyone's Instagram feed was flooded with the posts from celebrities, who were talking about 'mental health'. While Sushant's family's entire world had ended with their 'Gulshan', the actor's fans were busy finding facts and proving to the world that he had not taken his life. From the start, his fans are fighting to get justice for him and had demanded CBI inquiry in the case. After 40 days, Sushant's millions of lovers across the globe had gotten a little satisfaction when his father, KK Singh had filed an FIR against his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. And finally, on August 19, 2020, Supreme Court has given orders to transfer the case to CBI. 'Justice For SSR' has become a global movement as everyone wants to know the truth behind his mysterious death.
Now, post Supreme Court's verdict, Sushant's family has released a statement. It can be read as "We, Sushant's family thank our friends, well-wishers media and millions of fans worldwide for their love for Sushant and support for us. We are particularly thankful to Shri Nitesh Kumar, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Bihar for setting the wheel of justice in motion. Now, that the country's premier investigating agency has taken over, we believe that all those involved in the dastardly crime will be brought to justice." The statement was shared by Sushant's niece, Mallika, and it can be further read as "We believe that public trust in institutions is important. Today's development has reaffirmed our faith in India as a robust democracy. We love our country more than ever." Not just Sushant's family and fans were fighting to get a CBI inquiry, but his former girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande had also demanded for the same. She had become a pillar of support for his family. On August 13, 2020, she had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a video, wherein, we could see her asking for CBI inquiry into the matter. In the video, we could see her saying, "The nation wants to know what happened with Sushant Singh Rajput. Justice for Sushant. CBI for SSR." She had captioned her video as "justiceforsushantsinghrajput #CBIforSSR."
A couple of weeks ago, when Sushant's fans had hosted another digital protest for their warrior, at that time Ankita had also shown her support. She had shared a moving picture holding Sushant's mother's photo frame. The picture gave goosebumps to many, but it was her caption that left everyone crying, and it could be read as "Believe you both are together", followed by a heart emoji. Sushant's sister, Shweta Singh Kirit had commented on it, "Yes they are. Love you baby. Stay strong. We have to fight till we find justice."
