Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen was the first Indian model to win the coveted title and had chosen to become a part of Bollywood. She had made her acting debut with the film, Dastak in 1996 but had shot to fame with her performance in the comedy movie, Biwi No.1. Subsequently, the actress had continued to climb the ladder of success with her appearances in several box-office hits.

Taking a slight peep into her personal life, the 45-year-old actress, Sushmita Sen continues to remain unmarried but is a mother of two adopted daughters, Renee and Alisah. At present, she is in a relationship with Rohman Shawl and both her daughters share a friendly relationship with him.
On June 25, 2021, Sushmita Sen conducted a LIVE session on Instagram to indulge herself in a quick chit-chat with her fans. She held this session with her daughters, Renee and Alisah, along with her boyfriend, Rohman at her home. The actress was surprised with a fan’s marriage proposal on her LIVE chat, to which, Rohman Shawl decided to respond on her behalf. Later that evening, Sushmita shared the video as a post on her IG handle. Take a look at Rohman’s reply in the video below:
Alongside the post, Sushmita wrote, “#livesession You always make my day!! I love you guys!!! #duggadugga Alisah, @reneesen47 @rohmanshawl & #yourstruly.” During the LIVE session, her daughter, Alisah was reading the comments written by Sushmita's fans. It was then, when Alisah read, “Will you marry me?”. Before Sushmita could respond to this, Rohman Shawl instantly said a firm ‘no’.
On her boyfriend’s cute response, Sushmita began to laugh out loud. Alisah reacted to Rohman’s reply and said, “It's not for you it's for mama." To which he then said, “But I've answered on her behalf only no.” However, Alisah persisted that her mother should respond to her fan. So Sushmita jokingly said, “He quickly answered 'no'.”

Let’s admit that Sushmita and Rohman never miss a chance to set hearts racing with glimpses of their lovey-dovey relationship. It was said that the couple had met at a fashion show, from where their love story had blossomed. However, in an interview later with Rajiv Masand, the actress had made clarifications about how the two embarked on the journey of love.
She had said, “No, actually we didn't. It's a very very beautiful serendipity story. He sent me a direct message on Instagram and I didn't check direct messages because I wasn't sure if you check it you may be allowing that person to start communicating with you. So, I had too many of these direct messages and I had not opened any and there it was." Isn’t the beginning of their relationship so simple and beautiful? Well, it surely is!
