Swara Bhasker Talks About Not Revealing Daughter, Raabiyaa's Face: 'The Cruelty Of Strangers To...'

New mom, Swara Bhasker opened up about her daughter, Raabiyaa and revealed the reason behind not showing her baby girl's face to the world.

Swara Bhasker is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. She has marked her name in the world of acting, courtesy of her stellar performances in films like Veere Di Wedding Rasbhari, Raanjhanaa, Nil Battey Sannata, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and many more. Currently, the diva is living the most beautiful phase of her life. Swara has been over the moon ever since she embraced motherhood with the arrival of her daughter, Raabiyaa. However, the actress has not revealed her baby girl's face yet. And now, she opened up about the same and shared why she has been keeping her daughter away from the public glares.

Swara Bhasker reveals the reason behind not showing her daughter, Raabiyaa's face to the world

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Swara Bhasker opened up about her daughter, Raabiyaa and revealed why she has not shown her little one's face to the world yet. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she is adamant about not showing her child to the world, even if people throw hate at her for the decision. Stating that she is not comfortable with the idea of putting her daughter under public scrutiny by revealing her face, Swara said:

"Why should I reveal my child's face or my child in general ...for the cruelty of strangers to be satiated? I'm not ready for that at the moment."

Further, in the same conversation, Swara opened up about privacy and how difficult it has become to maintain it in this growing paparazzi culture. Elaborating more about it, the actress mentioned that as a new parent, she doesn't want to expose her child to online negativity. Swara mentioned that the growing use of modern technologies has made it easy for anyone to click a picture or pass judgment on celebrities' lives. Hence, she wants to protect her daughter from trolling and unkindness. In her words:

"I think with the advent of paparazzi culture, and the combination of phone cameras and social media, voyeurism has become the norm in our society. Harmless gossip about celebrities is one side of that and trolling and vile online abuse is the other side of that coin. The sponsored negative social media campaigns and targeted trolling and cyber bullying that goes in is something that I don’t want my child to go through. Hence as a new parent, I completely understand not wanting to expose my child to this kinds of negativity and unkindness."

Swara Bhasker talks about embracing motherhood.

In the same interview, Swara opened up about embracing motherhood and mentioned that becoming a mother changes everything in life. Talking more about it, the actress revealed her obsession with Raabiyaa and stated that her phone is flooded with her little one's pictures. Swara also stated that she is making a scrapbook for her daughter to preserve her little munchkin's childhood memories. In her words:

"Motherhood makes you realise that every cliche in the world is true. Now I understand the meaning of baccha parents ki aankho ka tara hota hai. I am obsessively taking videos and photos. My phone in full of Raabiya’s photo and show it to everyone who comes home. Not just that, I am also making a scarp book for my daughter so that when she grows up she can cherish all these little moments that we have tried to preserve."

When Swara and Fahad welcomed their daughter, Raabiyaa

For the unversed, it was on September 25, 2023, when Swara and Fahad shared the news of their baby's arrival. Taking to their respective IG handles, the lovebirds shared a series of pictures with their daughter, and they were simply unmissable. In the first picture, Swara could be seen holding her baby girl, while Fahad lovingly adored them. In the following picture, Fahad could be seen taking a selfie with Swara and their daughter inside the hospital room. Sharing the pictures, Swara penned:

"A prayer heard, a blessing granted, a song whispered, a mystic truth.. Our baby girl Raabiyaa was born on September 23 2023 With grateful and happy hearts, thank you for your love! It's a whole new world."
