We are sure that you all fell in love with Taapsee Pannu all over again when you had watched Pink. The movie marked a permanent place for Taapsee in the Bollywood film industry and since then there has been no looking back for the actress. And when people start loving you and looking upto you for quality films, theirs is no doubt about it that people would love knowing about your personal life as well.
For the past few days, rumours have been doing rounds that the Judwaa 2 actress had a secret engagement and is all set to get married soon. It was also reported that Taapsee’s parents have headed to Goa to look for a suitable match for their darling daughter. And since then, fans and media yearned for Taapsee to throw base on the same and finally she did! The actress took to Twitter and put an end to all rumours via a witty tweet. In a reply to an online portal who had written about her engagement and marriage rumours, Taapsee wrote, “Really! Strange I was let invited to my own engagement... and just so u know my parents haven’t visited Goa since past 10 years... unless u think I got engaged 10 years back.” Here’s a screenshot of the tweet:
This is not the first time that Taapsee is making headlines for linkup rumours. The actress was paired with her co-star, Saqib Saleem during the shooting of their film, Dil Juunglee. However, Saqib shunned all relationship rumours by saying, “I am not dating her yaar. Few people have asked me this question and this is what I keep telling them. Taapsee is my dearest friend, and there is nothing more than that.” And further added, “The thing is that woh bhi Dilli ki laundi hai, aur main bhi Dilli ka launda hun (She is a Delhi girl and I am a Delhi boy). So, we are really comfortable in each other’s company. She has an amazing sense of humour, and I love spending time with her. Woh bahot chill laundi hai (she is a chilled out person)”.
In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Taapsee spilled the beans on love, marriage and live-in. On asked about what is the kind of man she wants in her life, Taapsee had shared, “My man should respect me and I’ll do the same. Then comes trust and love. I’m happily single but I’m not sure if I’m ready to date someone. It’s only on occasions like Valentine’s Day that I feel bad because I see couples going around and exchanging gifts. I have never got any gifts on Valentine’s Day.” (Don't Miss! This New Pic Of Anant Ambani And Radhika Merchant Proves They're Deeply In Love With Each Other)
And further added, “I believe guys are scared of approaching me. Earlier, I probably didn’t look as good as I do today. Now people don’t talk to me thinking ‘she is a big star’, or ‘she will slap me and walk out on me’. No one has ever proposed to me in a filmi style. It has always been over messages or a call. Boring stuff. I’d love it if my man would go down on his knees.”
Taapsee Pannu might be a romantic person, but she surely knows how to blend romance with practicality. In the same interview she shared her thoughts on living in and marriage. She had stated, “Getting married is difficult to imagine right now. For now, live-in is equivalent to getting married. Though living with a person for my whole life is difficult to imagine. I don’t mind a live-in relationship but I won’t do anything against my family’s wishes. I will take their consent first”.
Apart from Saqib, Taapsee was also linked with her Telugu co-star, Mahat Raghavendra and Olympic silver medalist, badminton player named Mathias Boe. But, Taapsee saved a million hearts from breaking this time with the denial of her engagement. But we do want to see her as a beautiful bride, don’t we?
