Taapsee Pannu is one of the most talented and outspoken actresses in Bollywood. She has never shied away from playing challenging and complex roles on-screen. The Thappad actress married her longtime beau, Mathias Boe, in a private ceremony on March 23, 2024. Recently, Taapsee shared her astonishment over netizens who don't know her husband.
Taapsee Pannu sat with Fever FM and talked about her private marriage ceremony and her husband, Mathias Boe. During the conversation, Taapsee mentioned that she felt sad for the people who don't recognise her husband, Mathias Boe, despite his achievements. For the unversed, Mathias is a Danish badminton player who has been a gold medalist at the 2015 European Games. He won a two-time European championship in 2012 and 2017. Moreover, Mathias has been a silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She was quoted as saying:
“I feel sad for those people who don’t know who this guy is. And I don’t want to come out and tell people ke acha ‘just because he is not a cricketer or a big businessman, so you don’t really feel like knowing.'”

Mathias Boe is a badminton coach and has trained the duo, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy for Paris Olympics 2024. Taapsee added that Mathias is one of the biggest achievers in Badminton, and it's not easy to overlook his achievements. In her words:
“This is the guy who is probably one of the biggest achievers in badminton in the world and right now probably responsible for where our men’s badminton doubles have reached. Vo kaafi visible hai, kaafi chamakta bhi hai safed sa. So usko chhupana asaan nahin hai itna.”
Taapsee Pannu married Mathias Boe after a decade together in Udaipur, Rajasthan. However, only a few family members and close friends were invited to the ceremony. The Manmarziyaan actress said that they wanted a private moment and chose to ask people they knew adequately. She said:
“It just so happened because I chose to involve only those people who knew us directly. The people who organised it and all were my friends and family itself.”

Mathias has trained Indian shuttlers, Chirag and Satwiksairaj, Badminton in the Paris Olympics 2024. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Taapsee revealed that she will travel to Paris on July 29, 2024, to support her husband and the Indian Contingent at the event.
