The actor confirmed the ongoing reports about his dad's demise and revealed that he was suffering from COVID-19 in his latest interview. The popular actor is going through one of the toughest phases of his life and his millions of fans are standing strong with him in this devastating time.

According to the reports, Bhavya Gandhi reportedly admitted his father to three different hospitals in order to get him the best treatment possible, but despite all his efforts, he couldn’t win his fight against COVID-19. After weeks of struggle, Vinod Gandhi finally breathed his last on Wednesday (May 12, 2021) morning, according to the reports. Earlier it wasn't known whether Bhavya's father died of any other medical condition or COVID-19, but now, the actor himself has revealed it all in his recent interaction with a media portal.
According to a report in the Indian Express, Bhavya Gandhi’s father, Vinod Gandhi has passed away on the morning of May 12, 2021, at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. It is reported that Bhavya’s father was on a ventilator for the last ten days and was showing no signs of recovery. The actor has confirmed the reports of his father’s demise on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Bhavya also added that his father was tested positive for the life-threatening virus, COVID-19, a few weeks ago and with time, his health started deteriorating, and soon, the complications reached a non-reversible level. The heartbreaking news broke the hearts of Bhavya’s millions of fans out there, and the whole internet is supporting him at this moment of unconsolable personal crisis. Vinod Gandhi was into the construction business, for the unversed, and used to live a low-profile life, despite his son’s massive fan-following across the country.
In an interview with SpotboyE, Bhavya Gandhi’s mother, Yashoda Gandhi, revealed that her husband took every necessary precaution and safety measures during COVID-19 pandemic. She said, “My husband took utmost precaution ever since this coronavirus came in last year. He not only used to maintain social distancing, but his mask used to be always on. He used to keep sanitising his hands and the places he used to sit. Still, the virus reached to him.” The devastated wife also added that the hospital administration told them to take him away. She added, “They told me to take him away, but where I would have taken him he was unconcious and on ventilator there was no hope left. I convinced them by showing his condition and after that they finally gave me an ICU bed. After which he stayed there for 15 days before he breathed his last, yesterday.”

Like every son on this planet, Bhavya Gandhi was extremely close to his father, Vinod Gandhi. The actor never used to miss a single chance to shower his immense love and admiration on his dearest daddy. Time and again, he used to share crazy pictures and entertaining videos with his father, proving the mettle of his concrete bond with his daddy. For instance, on June 17, 2018, on the occasion of Father’s Day, Bhavya had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted a cutesy monochrome picture with his dad. In the picture, the doting son could be seen mirroring his father’s body language. The father-son duo had worn similar t-shirts, sunglasses and had looked like a carbon copy of each other. Along with the priceless picture, Bhavya had penned a sweet line for his father, and it could be read as “Pappa tamne badhu samjaye che! Happy Father’s Day.”
