Taher Shabbir Of 'Naam Shabana' Fame Gets Engaged To Ladylove, Akshita Gandhi, Shares Pictures

Actor, Taher Shabbir of Naam Shabana fame is all set to start a new chapter of his life as he recently got engaged to his ladylove, Akshita Gandhi. Taher Shabbir had started his career in entertainment in 2014 when he had portrayed the role of Viraj Singh Rathore in Star Plus’ show, Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. In 2009, Taher was seen in the Bollywood movie, Kurbaan starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan where he had a brief role. In 2016, he had made his Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Fan and in 2017, the actor had portrayed the role of Jai in Naam Shabana.

On August 18, 2020, Taher Shabbir took to his IG handle and shared beautiful pictures from his engagement ceremony with Akshita Gandhi. In the pictures, Taher looked dapper in a golden-coloured brocade sherwani and his fiancée, Akshita complemented him in a beautiful rose gold outfit. The lovely couple looked like made-for-each other and sharing the mesmerizing pictures, Taher wrote, “Anddddd She said Yes #letthejourneybegin.”

Akshita Gandhi is an international artist, a young business leader and a philanthropist based in Mumbai. She had done her graduation in Finance and Economics from the American University in Dubai and had later pursued MFA in Fine Arts from Dubai. Akshita, who has been actively engaged in business from a very early period under the guidance of her father, Nikhil Gandhi had recently founded Dua Foundation. Taher was recently seen in Netflix Original film, Guilty as Danish Ali Baig and he was applauded for his stellar performance. The actor had also played the role of Sangram Singh in Kangana Ranaut’s much talked about film, Manikarnika. Apart from films, Taher's character Arshad Habib in the serial, Bepannaah opposite Jenifer Winget had garnered him a lot of attention. Taher will next be seen in a mystery thriller, Iti: Can You Solve Your Own Murder. Talking about his dream of working in a thriller movie, Taher in a media interaction had stated, “Being part of a mystery thriller has always been one of my dreams. I'm so glad that I'm getting to play such an interesting character in a concept-driven, unique thriller so early in my career. I'm sure this movie is going to be a game-changer.”

Taher shares a close bond with his father and often share pictures with him on his social media. On Father’s Day, Taher had taken to his IG handle and had shared a tinning picture with his dad. Along with the picture, he had written, “Can’t wait to twin with you again father. U are so we are. May u father us in every life. Not a day goes by....
