A few days back, didn’t you go in for a momentary shock when the reports started pouring in that Taimur Ali Khan will not be clicked anymore? The world surely sank in for us, but Taimur’s abba, Saif Ali Khan turned saviour for all of us when he later on clarified that nothing of this sort has been said by him or Kareena. And ever since, the shutterbugs have been happily clicking and greeting chote Nawab, Taimur Ali Khan!
Just a few days to go for Taimur Ali Khan’s second birthday and the little one has made us all go awe with his dashing look. In the latest pictures of Taimur Ali Khan that has flooded on the internet, the little one can be seen following his mamu, Ranbir Kapoor’s cap look. Dressed in a white shirt and blue denim, Taimur wore a matching blue coloured cap and was all smiles for the shutterbugs. Here are the pictures:
Just like the entire nation, mamu Ranbir Kapoor, too, is ‘obsessed’ over his nephew, Taimur. Revealing the same in an interview, Ranbir had stated, “To be honest, I stalk his pictures because I am also obsessed. Because when you see him it just warms your heart. And when he has his haircut or how he walks. I am a Taimur fan.” He further added, “I have had the opportunity and the good fortune to hold him and it felt quite surreal. It felt like holding royalty.”
Ranbir further added that he and his sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni were not followed by the paparazzi the way Taimur is, but they had their “own share of public spotlight". Ranbir went on to share, "Of course, camera phones weren't there, and the paparazzi wasn't there, but we got our own kind of attention. In school, or when we went outside and people knew that me and my sister were Rishi Kapoor's children, it felt good because people looked at us in a nice way. We had a nice time basking in our parents' glory.” (Also Read: Sara Ali Khan Can't Wait For Taimur Ali Khan To Grow Up To Bond With Him, Shares Equation With Him)
During the promotions of his film Sanju, Ranbir revealed that he is not happy with the attention Taimur is getting. He was quoted as saying, “I love to see pictures of Taimur splashed across newspapers. People read everything that’s said about him with a lot of interest. But I am not too pleased about it. It is not healthy for a child to be noticed so much.”
Recently, Taimur’s popularity and obsession reached new heights when a toy store in Kerala launched look-alike dolls of the chote Nawab. Reacting to the same, Saif had stated in an interview with Hindustan Times, “Maybe I should trademark his name…The least they could do is send me one!” Further, he said, “I am glad people are benefiting from him. I only ask God for his safety and happiness in return.”
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Kareena Kapoor Khan expressed, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point. It’s tough on him as it’s on Saif and me.”
Even Taimur’s dadi, Sharmila Tagore expressed her disapproval on the constant media attention Junior Nawab is getting. Sharmila ji stated, “I don’t approve of this social media attention and what they (people) are doing to Taimur. People are really stalking him! They are in front of his school, the play school that he goes too, following him when he’s going with his parents and it’s not really a good thing. Because, at the moment he’s young but he’s still understanding cameras and stuff. So one can’t really not go out, to avoid this attention. There should be some kind of request to the people to lay off Taimur. Or maybe another baby will arrive someday and they will get bored of this one.” (Also Read: This Is Where Saif Ali Khan Would Spend The Money Earned If Taimur Ali Khan Does Commercials)
