Times flies by and like how! Seems just like yesterday when the first picture of Saif Ali Khan kissing his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan with their ‘little munchkin’ by their side went viral on social media, and now that ‘little munchkin’ has grown up to be a big, soon-to-be two-year-old boy. The heart of the nation and everyone’s obsession, Taimur Ali Khan will turn two on December 20, 2018, and we still can’t believe its been two years already since we have been crushing over this little one! Unlike Taimur Ali Khan’s first birthday, which began with an intimate family get-together at the Pataudi Palace with a cosy bonfire night, horse riding sessions and tractor rides, the baby Nawab’s second birthday is going to be a grand one. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Kareena and Saif have planned to throw a lavish party on Taimur’s second birthday, which will see many celeb kids in attendance.
The source, as quoted by Deccan Chronicle, stated, “Taimur has his own friends in school now, plus many other pals from the film fraternity like AbRam (Shah Rukh Khan’s son), Laksshya (Tusshar Kapoor’s son), Aaradhya (Abhishek-Aishwarya Bachchan’s daughter), etc etc. Plus, there’s Taimur’s most favourite little sister Inaaya (Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu’s daughter). Also, Taimur now understands the nitty-gritty of birthday parties, the cake, candles, balloons, games. He will definitely have a party for his birthday this time.”
On his first birthday last year (December 20, 2017), the birthday boy Taimur Ali Khan’s day began with cuddles from his aunt Karisma Kapoor, and his first birthday party took place within a colourful play area which comprised of mini houses to climb into, a carousel and a baby train, all decorated with a lot of blue balloons. Taimur Ali Khan’s three-tiered jungle-themed birthday cake and his Ralph Lauren birthday outfit deserve a special shout-out. Do you remember what special birthday gift did Taimur get on his first birthday, and from whom? And the answer is not his parents! Kareena Kapoor Khan's nutritionist and a close friend, Rujuta Diwekar gifted a 1000 sq. ft. plot forest to Taimur Ali Khan. Sharing the same, Rujuta posted on her Instagram handle a picture stating “Taimur Ali Khan Forest” and she captioned it, "A little forest for Taimur. A little boy can never have enough of birds, bees and butterflies and so we have put together a small forest as a birthday gift for the little big boy, Taimur, in Sonave. It’s a special forest, one that thrives on intercropping and I hope that as he grows he too will thrive in and celebrate a diverse society. A society where people live together through and due to their distinctions.”
Her post further stated, “The forest has about 100 trees on a 1000 sq ft plot. The trees are as young as Taimur, even younger actually, and each one of them is a local, native, climate resilient specie. It will be a forest of the superfoods of the future. There are 3 jamuns, 1 jackfruit, 1 amla, 40 Bananas, 14 Moringas, 1 Kokum, 1 Papaya, 5 Seetaphal, 2 Ramphals, 2 Nimbu trees. Besides these it grows 3 different types of native pulses and many Mirchi, Ginger, Turmeric and kari patta plants. Not to mention the green leafy veggies and the genda phools that grow in between.”
It concluded, “The forest is inspired by Padma Shri Subhash Palekar’s zero budget natural farming where one tree grows symbiotically off another and thus is thrifty on one’s pocket. The forest will become a home for pollinating agents like the butterflies, bees, birds and earthworms. It will help nurture the soil, fix back the nitrogen and minerals in the soil that it grows on, preserve the water table and look elegant and beautiful while doing it all.
