In Romedy Now's 'The Love Laugh Live Show', Kareena Kapoor Khan threw some light on what are they planning for Taimur Ali Khan's future education.
Parents need to make some tough decisions when it comes to their kids’ education and it’s no different for celebrity mommies and daddies. From Abhishek Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Twinkle Khanna to Priyanka Chopra, the celebrities have studied away from their home, in a boarding school. And while the Generation X of Bollywood mostly goes to the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, looks like Taimur Ali Khan will be sent to the boarding school like his father, Saif Ali Khan. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have, time and again expressed their concern over the constant media scrutiny on their soon-to-be three-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan. They have requested the paparazzi to not pester their little one, 24x7. But this little cheesecake has garnered so much love from the nation that even a day without his pictures on social media, seems like a dull one.
And from what it looks like, we will have to get used to the feeling of not having Taimur Ali Khan's pictures emerging every now and then on social media. Why do we say so? Because his star parents, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have decided to send their little one to boarding school, away from the media attention. Just like Kareena, who had studied in a boarding school in Dehradun and Saif, who went to the boarding school from the age of 7 till he was 17, Taimur will soon be sent to the boarding school too.
In Romedy Now's The Love Laugh Live Show, Kareena Kapoor Khan threw some light on what are they planning for Taimur Ali Khan's future education. Elaborating on the same, Kareena stated, "We both are pretty much in for it. The life in Mumbai, the life we have in the movies might push us to the point. Right now, I can't have people trailing him around. It just bothers me when people say, 'oh I look at Taimur's picture and it makes me happy' I find it little weird also because I don't look at other kids' pictures and say it makes me happy. It is just the way I am. It will be great if he can have a normal life, though we are trying as much as we can."
In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Kareena Kapoor Khan had addressed the nation’s obsessiveness with her son, Taimur Ali Khan when the markets had started selling toys inspired from his looks. Bebo had shared, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point. It’s tough on him as it’s on Saif and me.” (Also Read: Inaaya Naumi Kemmu Looks Adorable As She Steps Out With Mommy, Soha Ali Khan And Daddy, Kunal Kemmu)
In another interview with the Film Companion, Kareena Kapoor Khan had talked about the constant worry they have for Taimur Ali Khan. She was quoted as saying, “Because what am I supposed to go screaming, what am I supposed to do. So it's like dangerous for us, the test is in us. The pressure is on Saif and me more than him. He is still growing up he is still small, he is registering that he's being clicked because they are calling his name. But the pressure is more on the parents because we are worrying constantly. It's up to us to give him a normal upbringing.”
Speaking about Saif Ali Khan's idea of sending their son, Taimur Ali Khan to a British boarding school, Kareena Kapoor Khan had stated, “They are leaving us with no choice. But of course, as a mother, it would kill me to send him away. And I think it'd be unfair and I tell Saif that it'd be like running away from reality because this is the reality.” Expressing her worries that her son can't just go out and about the city and do normal things like other children, Kareena went on to say that come what may, she will not ask Taimur to not have a normal childhood or to not go for his playtime. Bebo had continued, “I can't do that to him, I can't lock him up. I want him to fly and I want him to be free.”
In a throwback interview, Saif Ali Khan had also revealed that he wants Taimur Ali Khan to have a humble life away from the constant media attention and will be sent to a boarding school in England. He had stated, “He has innocence in his eyes, there is nothing pretentious, but yes I am worried about him. I and Kareena have already discussed the stardom he already has around him and we have decided to send him to a nice boarding school in England. It will hopefully do the trick. It has done for everybody in the family. Kareena is going to be a very good mother. She will not be impressed if he is spoilt.” He had added, “Maybe I’ll send him to a boarding school when he is 13. I don’t know, growing up as a star kid, going to the schools of Bandra and Juhu. He needs to see the world.” (Also Read: Kareena Kapoor Khan Reveals How She Spends A Normal Evening With Her Husband, Saif Ali Khan At Home)
