And in midst of all this, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma fame Tanaya Gupta tied the knot to her longtime boyfriend, Suraj on April 5, 2019. Their wedding was nothing short of a fairy tale! However, what took our heart away was the way she had broken stereotypes surrounding dulhans. Before we take you further on Tanaya’s bindaas bride journey, let us give you an insight into her dream proposal in the Maldives. Yes, she had the most romantic proposal, and she posted the details of the same on her official Instagram handle. Sharing a happy picture with her beau, she wrote, “This picture says a thousand words! When I went to the Maldives for a holiday, little did I know that it’ll turn into that reality which I always dreamt of!! When I saw the whole set up right next to the sea And when I thought it was a shoot just then I see him on his knees saying something which i could not hear as I was so awestruck! But then there were tears in my eyes and all I said was ‘of course’.. and I felt like that little girl who stands on the other side and imagines that one day her dream man will come and make her his forever!! Words cannot describe how I felt, all I can say is that it felt like a Dream!! #suugottanned”.
Tanaya wasn’t a coy bride as she chose to ditch the traditional red and she broke the stereotypes surrounding the way a dulhan should act. On April 17, 2019, she took to her Instagram and posted a video of her dancing at a random bar. Along with it she wrote, “I never knew that I was breaking myths until I had all eyes on me while entering a random bar right after my phera ceremony in my traditional bridal attire! Coming back to her dreamy wedding, Tanaya looked absolutely stunning in a baby pink lehenga with silver work. She accentuated her attire with polki neckpiece, matching earrings and a maathapatti that radiated her princess charm.
