Bollywood actress, Kajol is undoubtedly one of the most successful actresses in the industry. Apart from being a brilliant actress, Kajol is a doting daughter, and she adores her mommy, Tanuja from a young age. The mommy-daughter duo holds a lot of love for each other, and they share a beautiful bond with one another. Veteran actress, Tanuja has done a great job in raising her two daughters, Kajol and Tanishaa Mukerji, and she has given them the most humble upbringing.
Kajol often shares beautiful snippets from her quality time with her mom, Tanuja. For instance, on April 28, 2022, Kajol had posted a cutesy picture with her mother, Tanuja on her IG handle. In the photo, we could see Tanuja and Kajol pouting and flaunting their red lipsticks. The mother-daughter duo had looked stunning in oversized sunglasses and had shelled out retro vibes. Alongside it, Kajol had written:
"It don’t matter if ur black or white or red! Kiss me anyways."

Kajol and her mother, Tanuja will appear on the famous Marathi TV show, Kon Honaar Crorepati. In the recently released promo of the show, the mommy-daughter duo can be seen sharing some fun anecdotes from their personal and professional lives. The video also showed Kajol complaining about how her mother, Tanuja used to scold her when she was a child. To which, Tanuja responded by saying that Kajol would never listen to her. She can be heard saying:
“She would always be lost in her own world. And if you tell her something, she would stare at you with her big eyes."
Further in the video, when the show's host, Sachin Khedekar asked Kajol if she was scared of Tanuja while growing up, the actress said 'Yes'. And listening to this, Tanuja shot back at her daughter and then called her a liar. This cute camaraderie left the audience in splits, and they burst out laughing.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Kajol had opened up about the one major parenting lesson that she had learnt from her mother, Tanuja. She had also revealed that her mother had told her how a child should be taught to take decisions on their own and the consequences pertaining to it. Talking about the same, she had said:
“My mother has passed down too many things to me. The most important thing that she passed down to me was, ‘You have to make your children think for themselves.’ I think that was the biggest learning that I took back and that led to everything. They have to learn how to think for themselves, make their own decisions and find out whether they can live with their consequences or not. That is the only way they will learn whether this decision is the correct thing for them.”
For the unversed, Tanuja had got married to filmmaker, Shomu Mukherjee in 1973.
