As per multiple social media reports, Tarun Tahiliani reportedly paid 50 percent extra to models to walk his show again for the 300 attendees who couldn't attend the event at first time.
Popular designer, Tarun Tahiliani is known for his intricate designs and breathtaking fashion ideas. However, it seems the time hasn't been extremely good for the designer, as he has been facing one after other mishap at his workplace. After disappointing many with the costumes for the Paris Olympics 2024, we now, got to know about the organisational chaos at his ‘Otherworldly’ collection's show.
Tarun Tahiliani's 'Otherworldly' collection left a mark at the FDCI India Couture Week 2024 with his intricate embroideries, such as kashidakar, mukaish, and chikankari, teamed with modern techniques. Indeed, people from the fashion industry wanted to be part of it. However, this became a problem, and on the seventh day of FDCI India Couture Week 2024, there was organisational chaos. According to a report on a celeb-acclaimed social media handle, we got to know that many A-listers from the fashion and entertainment industry, amounting to a total of 300 people, were left outside the show's venue.

This fiasco happened due to less seats available at the venue. Thus, Tarun also apologised personally to the crowd gathered outside the venue by saying, “I apologise for what I hear a lot of you went through. These things are never planned, we never know, we try to be very careful. But anyway, the good news is everyone has a front row and we are repeating the show.” Moreover, model, Ujjwal Dhir, who walked the show, shared a video on his IG handle revealing that they were paid an extra 50 percent more than their original payments for walking the show a second time in the same ensembles and sequence.

Tarun Tahiliani designed the opening ceremony uniforms for the Indian athletes at the Paris Olympics 2024. The outfits were designed with natural fabrics to attend the Olympic Games on a global platform. For the male athletes, Tarun designed a white kurta along with a Bundi jacket featuring orange and green work on both sides. The colour combination was an ode to the Indian flag.

For women athletes, ikat sarees were designed in tri-colours similar to the Indian flag. The sarees were teamed with similar printed orange blouses. Talking about the same, Tarun Tahiliani, in a conversation with PTI, revealed that the uniforms were combined with a classic Indian touch and a modern athletic. However, many netizens, including a number of acclaimed celebrities, weren't happy about it. Thus, Tarun got huge wrath on social media.
