Recently, reports claimed that Ekta Kapoor would remake 'Tere Bin' in India. However, the producers of the Pakistani drama have revealed that they have not consented to this.

Pakistani drama, Tere Bin was an instant hit when it was released in December 2022. People from all around the world loved Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi’s roles as ‘Murtasim’ and ‘Meerab’ respectively, so much so that the drama has been renewed for another season. Despite receiving criticisms, the lead couple's acting skills and the series' twists and turns kept the audience engaged till the very end.

Recently, reports went viral claiming that the popular producer, Ekta Kapoor has partnered with Colors TV for the Indian remake of Tere Bin. The remake, which would reportedly go on-air in July 2024, would feature Kanika Mann and Ayesha Singh in the lead roles. Moreover, there has been no official confirmation from the makers yet.

Abdullah Kadwani shares that no consent or permission has been sought from them for the Indian remake of Tere Bin

March 8, 2024, Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, the makers of Tere Bin, shared an official statement after reports of an Indian remake went viral. The duo mentioned that they take pride in the fact that Tere Bin has brought international pride to the Pakistani industry. However, they further clarified that they were not asked for any consent or permission by the Indian makers to re-produce Tere Bin under the same title and storyline.

Meanwhile, netizens have reacted to the statement released by the makers of Tere Bin. While some fans of the drama commented that they have been eagerly waiting for the second season, others advised the duo not to sell the rights to Tere Bin. One user said, “Start the shooting of #TereBin2 as soon as possible, please. We are missing Wahaj and Yumna together on-screen. Please bring them back soon together.” Another one wrote, “Acha hua permission nahi diya aapne warna kahani ko or kharab kar dete or lambaa bana dete serial ko wese me hu toh India se per esa hi hota hai hamare yaha.”

When Abdullah Kadwani revealed that Tere Bin has been renewed for another season

On December 29, 2023, Abdullah Kadwani took to his Instagram account and shared the happy news with Tere Bin fans that they had been waiting for ever since the first season ended. He revealed that the Pakistani drama has been renewed for another season and titled Tere Bin 2. The series will feature the original lead pair, Yumna Zaidi and Wahaj Ali, aka ‘Yumhaj’. Kadwani has promised that the unmatched chemistry between the two actors will be on display once again in this new season, which will be produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment and will be aired on Geo Entertainment.
