Tusshar Kapoor pleasantly surprised everyone yesterday with the news of becoming a father.
The actor became a single parent to a baby boy through surrogacy and named him 'Laksshya.'

The actor was encouraged by none other than filmmaker Prakash Jha to go for surrogacy to become a single father.
Here is what Tusshar said:
“Last year, I went to Tirupati temple. I happened to meet director Prakash Jha. We were in the same flight. He told me about this procedure (IVF) and how one could be a single parent using the same. He also introduced me to a family who had used surrogacy to have a baby. I felt inspired and decided to go in for the same.”

The excited father is happy to be a single parent, here is what he said:
"I wanted to be a single parent. My son looks like me so I am very happy. It is your paternal instinct. I was mentally ready last year when I met the doctor. I owe my fatherhood to him."

He confessed that he was in a hurry to become a father. He further shared:
“I will be 40 this year and that is why I went ahead with what was told to me and I am happy that I took the right decision. My family is complete now, he came back home a week ago. Both my son and Ekta are June babies. She calls him her twin. She was the one who chose his name.”
It is not only the proud father Tusshar who is on cloud nine but also the grandparents Jeetendra and Shobha who are elated beyond words. The couple gave a joint statement saying:
"We could not be more excited to be grandparents to Laksshya, and are completely supportive of Tusshar's decision. This is certainly a tremendous blessing, and an exciting time in our lives. Tusshar is a wonderful son, and he has proven with responsibility, independence, and kindness that he will be a great father to Laksshya,"

The happy granddad Jeetendra made this cutesy picture with his little grandson Laksshya as his display picture on WhatsApp.
Isn’t this little bundle of joy overloaded with cuteness? Well, his aunty, Ekta Kapoor is also very excited and shared this cute message on her social media handles, expressing her happiness. She captioned the picture as:
“Ab .....HUM PAANCH.”
