While Jaya Bachchan's sour relationship with the paps is known to everybody, recently, a famous shutterbug spilt the tea about a full-blown fight that took place at Abhishek and Aishwarya's wedding.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married to one another at the Bachchan's residence, Prateeksha, in 2007. The wedding was a grand affair, but the Bachchans wanted to keep it low-key and away from the media glares. While we now and then stumble upon some tidbits from Aishwarya and Abhishek's wedding, recently, we came to know that the media had gathered up against the Bachchans and banned the entire family soon after Aishwarya and Abhishek's wedding. So much so that if Big B had to attend an event after his son's wedding, the media persons refrained from clicking his photos, even if the next person would have been clicked.
Yes! You read it right. Recently, famous paparazzo, Varinder Chawla divulged details about the full-blown fight that took place during Abhishek and Aishwarya's wedding. In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Varinder stated that while the Bachchans wanted to keep Abhishek and Aishwarya's wedding away from the media glares, the shutterbugs, in any way reached near Prateeksha, to get a few exclusive snapshots of the event. He said that they knew some places from where the moments could be captured, such as the entry area and more, but the Bachchans wanted it to be low-key, and for the same, they had parked a bus there, thereby blocking the entire space for the media persons. Varinder can be quoted as saying:
"I was stationed outside their house. We knew the points from where we could get the pictures, such as the entry area, but they parked a bus there! So, the entire view of the media was blocked."

Varinder Chawla mentioned that when the Bachchans were coming to the wedding venue from their other bungalow, the media persons ran behind them, but they were treated badly as security persons attacked the shutterbugs. He said that many of the paparazzi were hurt, and the security of the Bachchan clan was provided by politician, Amar Singh, who happened to have a good bond with the Bachchans. Varinder added that the entire situation heated up and got so worse that the paps banned the entire Bachchan clan. Varinder said:
"When they were coming to Prateeksha from their other bungalow, they had security provided by Amar Singh. When the media ran after breaking the barricade, to catch the glimpse, they (security) treated them badly and attacked the media. A lot of media persons were hurt. I had never seen such a big media ban. They had banned everyone, from Amitabh ji, Jaya ji, Abhishek to Aishwarya."
Going further in the interview, Varinder Chawla stated that the media had united and imposed the ban, which lasted for a long time. He recalled that after the wedding, whenever anyone in the Bachchan family would come to attend any event, the paps used to place their cameras on the air, by making a sign of protest.
Varinder mentioned that the situation was so heated that even if Big B was at an event and he would call up for a group photo, then too, the paps used to lift up their cameras and would click the photo of the next person standing beside the actor but not him. Varinder said:
"When the Bachchan family would come for some events, photographers would place the camera down or up in the air as a sign of protest. If Bachchan saab was at an event and a call for group picture was made, the moment he would come in front, the photographers would lift their cameras up. They would click the person next to Bachchan saab, but not him."

Talking about the same, Varinder added that after a long time the paps got to know that it was not looking good for the image and for the business as well. He added that the ban was only lifted after a private meeting with the entire media and Amitabh Bachchan was held in JW Marriott hotel. He said:
"This went on for some time and then even he realsied that this was not good for the image as well as the business. Then he called for a personal meeting at JW Marriott hotel, where the entire media was called. Only after that, the ban was lifted."
