We won't be wrong in saying that modern brides love playing with new colours. We have often seen many Indian brides opting for a traditional red-coloured ensemble for their D-Day. This is because in Indian culture, brides have been wearing a red outfit to their wedding ceremonies for centuries.

However, these days, the number of brides wearing red ensembles seem to be fading away. Many brides now consider opting for subtle colours, and amongst all the colours, the shades of pink is being preferred the most. And here, once again we have come across a bride, who had opted for a pink lehenga choli from Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The bride, Navya Mehrotra, had tied the marital knot with the man of her dreams, and had chosen to become a Sabyasachi bride for her special day. Navya Mehrotra had opted for a pink and white Sabyasachi bridal outfit and had aced her wedding look. She had donned a traditional lehenga in white colour that had featured beautiful floral motifs in pink colour. Heavy golden, pink and purple gotta-patti work had been done on the hem of the lehenga, with minor mirror work. Even the border on the waist was heavily embroidered.

Along with her lehenga, she had worn a semi-sleeved blouse, in a pink shade. Her blouse had intricate thread work and golden sequins all over it. The bride had followed the double-dupatta trend and had draped two dupattas. She had draped a heavy dupatta in a saree style, pinning it from one shoulder and tucking the other end to the back of her lehenga, whereas, she had kept a light mesh dupatta on her head.

To amp up her look, the bride had accessorised it with contrasting jewellery in green and golden colours, which had included a green statement choker neckpiece, a maang teeka, earrings and a nath. But that’s not it, she had paired it with bright red chooda, which had maintained the traditional element in her look.

Navya had completed her look with subtle makeup, which was done by her makeup artist, Ralph Daniels. Her makeup had included subtle pink eyeshadow with mascara and kohled eyes, along with a pastel pink lip shade and a small red bindi. The bride had summed up her look with her hair tied in a bun, which had been decorated with real pink flowers.
