Keeping Up With The Kardashians was a hit from the very beginning, and Kim, along with her siblings and mother, Kris Jenner, became a household name. For special appearances, she stuck with curve-hugging outfits in vibrant colours. Gradually her style changed to a more glammed-up one, and she switched to matte makeup instead of glossy.
Looking back to her initial fashion choices, Kim told Vogue in 2019:
“Oh my God, OK, this is so embarrassing; I probably borrowed this dress at Dash, kept the tag on or just re-tagged it, and then returned it afterwards.”
In 2009 Kim Kardashian had her major glow-up. By this time, she was a Hollywood socialite and a star in the making. As the days passed, her style became more urban, and she polished off well. He set her wardrobe as per his standards and threw away everything that didn’t deem fit for him. West introduced her to bigshot labels and dressed her in expensive custom-made outfits. In short, he gave her a complete makeover. Labels like Balmain and Lanvin were now creating outfits for the socialite.
Kanye introduced Kim to Riccardo Tisci, the creative director of Givenchy, who gave her the ticket to her first-ever Met Gala. The floral gown sparked the meme fest. However, this marked the beginning of Kim’s Met Gala stardom.
