#1. Be neat, clean and well-groomed around them

Not only are they themselves really clean, but they also prefer to be in the company of people who are just like them. So if you really like them, you need to let go of your casual and usual chilled out lifestyle.

#2. They don’t like to go out much

Because they think that they would end up meeting new people, who might not be as clean as they are. Plus, they avoid shaking hands with them. So, the next best option according to them is to give these gatherings a miss!

Who will sweep the floors, do the dishes, dust the living room, wash the clothes etc. are thoughts that make them go crazy.

#7. Sanitisers and dusters are like their best friends

They might forget to carry their wallets in their bags, but a hand sanitiser and a small cloth duster- NEVER!!

#9. They have a habit to re-check everything after re-checking them already

#10. They will have a tendency to touch a few things repeatedly

When they get nervous, to calm themselves down, they will always rub or touch certain things to calm down.

#11. Their house floor is more reflective and clean than a looking mirror

Because they get it cleaned so many times a day and walk bare foot on it! Also, their cleaning equipment cost a fortune, but they don’t mind paying for the shiny looking floors.

#12. They are insecure and extremely superstitious

They need constant reassurance for everything. Everything will be alright- is like melody to their ears.

#13. Being spontaneous isn’t their thing

They like to go according to plan. Doing things out-of-the-blue or planning something can make them nervous. They always need to know what’s next.

#15. Their wardrobe is like a clothing store display shelf

You will sometimes wonder if they have even touched it in years as the clothes are stacked so perfectly without one crease getting spoiled!

#16. Their homes are like museums

They love symmetry. Everything should be kept in place and in order. Nothing should spoil the alignment of their museum-like home.

#17. They keep on cleaning things that are already clean

They cannot help it as cleaning also happens to be their favourite pass time. And that is also how their already clean house gets cleaner by the second!

#18. They will never use any other washroom other than their own

No matter how bad their condition is, they would not mind waiting until they have reached home or a place they feel is clean enough to use.

#19. They hate to share their food, clothes and everything else

Sharing is caring, right? Wrong, at least not for them. To have someone else’s food or giving someone a bite from their plate, sharing a drink etc. are things that are just unacceptable for them.

#20. They stare at their food suspiciously before eating it

What if a fly fell into it or the chef’s hair got mixed in it or a dust particle came flying into it? They need to make sure it is not infested by anything like that before taking a bite.

#21. They hate street food

For the simple reason that it is unhygienic for them! Yes, they do miss out on world’s tastiest type of food-the delicious flavours of "street food."

Having said all that, it is not as if they want to be like that. Many times, they too dream of being normal and also make an effort to start being more relaxed. But an extreme case of OCD is more serious than you imagined and needs to be taken care of with much care and sensitivity as people suffering from it are highly insecure, scared and reluctant.
