Talking about celebrities' wedding, one union that stayed away from the media glare, restoring our faith in marriages was Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. The two had an intimate wedding in Italy and the media knew nothing about it. And while we have loved the actress' blush pink shaadi ka lehenga, it was her Delhi reception look that took our breath away. She was dressed in a Benarasi red saree with golden boti print all over, radiating the new bride goals.
We are still in awe of how gorgeous Anushka had looked at her Delhi reception. Her hair was neatly tied in a bun with sindoor filled in her maang. For the accessories, she had opted for a heavy choker neckpiece and earrings. And after almost two years, we spotted a bride, who recreated her reception look! Meet the bride of the week, Deepika Gauba, who married the man of her dreams, Ishaan in Rajasthan at Castle Mandawa. Her wedding had a royal touch to it and it was her ensemble that instantly reminded us of Anushka's reception look. Yes, for the D-day, the bride ditched the heavy lehenga and opted for an exactly similar red saree like Anushka. Deepika was also a Sabyasachi bride and looked dreamy on her D-day. However, instead of choosing a plain red blouse, she donned a golden printed blouse and a net dupatta that accentuated her look. We loved how minimal her makeup was and unlike other brides, she chose to keep her hair open, with loose curls.
Deepika accessorised her look with a choker neckpiece, a pair of earrings, maang teeka and an oversized nose ring. She kept her makeup subtle with open hair giving all the 2019 brides an inspiration on how to flaunt a saree for their shaadi day.
Dear brides-to-be, the 2019 wedding season is all about following your heart and choosing what you love over what others want you to wear. For the first time ever, there are no rules and no trends to follow and it is the perfect time to be the bride you always dreamt of being.
