For the unversed, on October 17, 1999, Madhuri had entered another beautiful phase of her life when she had tied the knot with a cardiovascular surgeon, Dr Shriram Madhav Nene from Los Angeles, California. Together they have two sons, Arin Nene and Ryan Nene.

However, one chapter from Madhuri's life is less talked about. Well, this super-stunning dancing queen of Bollywood was once rejected by famous Bollywood singer, Suresh Wadkar apparently. Yes, you read that right! It’s hard to believe that the lady for whom many are mad was once rejected by Suresh.
Suresh Wadkar had a very absurd reason for saying 'no' to Madhuri Dixit for the wedding. Well, Madhuri belongs to a conservative Maharashtrian family, and her parents didn’t want her to work in movies. Madhuri’s father had even started hunting for a perfect groom for her when she was very young since they wanted her to get married and settle down. After a lot of groom hunting, the actress’ father had thought Suresh Wadkar to be a perfect match for his daughter. It was that time when he had just started off his career in singing.
But the twist in the tale is that the budding singer, who was 12 years older than Madhuri, had rejected the proposal. The reason behind the rejection given by Suresh was that he had found Madhuri too thin.

It would definitely have been very disappointing for Madhuri Dixit's father, but somehow it was lucky for the lady. If this wouldn't have happened, she won't have entered the showbiz world.
