Bollywood actresses are loved by their fans not only for their mesmerising acting but also for their unique fashion sense. They are undoubtedly the trendsetters in the world of fashion, and their fans never stop admiring them. Amongst everyone, Alia Bhatt’s fashion choices never fail to make headlines. Be it her red carpet glamour, chic fashion choices for the airport, ethnic looks for wedding ceremonies and causal OOTDs, she never fails to amaze her fans.
Nowadays, sustainable fashion is a trend, and the B-town divas have been promoting it. Alia Bhatt is the OG of sustainable fashion and never thinks twice before re-wearing her outfits. Alia awestruck everyone when she repeated her wedding saree while receiving the National Award. Apart from that, there have been quite a few times when Alia repeated her outfits, thereby promoting the sustainable fashion game. Let us have a sneak peek at when Alia Bhatt promoted sustainable fashion by re-wearing her stunning outfits.
Highway star, Alia Bhatt got married to her long-time beau, Ranbir Kapoor, on April 14, 2022, in a low-key wedding soiree. For her wedding, she opted for an ivory-toned embellished saree from the shelves of the ace fashion designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and teamed it with a matching blouse. This ivory organza saree had intricate tilla works, and she paired it up with a hand-woven tissue veil. However, what left everyone in awe was when she repeated her wedding saree for the National Awards ceremony in 2023 and looked like a vision. The add-on of a choker, matching earrings, soft makeup, tied-up hairdo and a bindi added stars to her look.
Not only the wedding saree while receiving the National Award but also ahead of that, she had repeated another of her wedding outfits. Alia Bhatt donned an orange-toned salwar kameez during one of her wedding festivities. With a tied-up hairdo and a soft touchup, she finalised her look. She teamed the outfit up with heavy kundan jhumkas and a tissue dupatta with gota patti border. She repeated the same outfit during a special trailer launch of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. She re-wore the same outfit and styled her look with a pair of earrings, subtle makeup and a sleek ponytail.
Apart from her wedding outfits, there were several events when she was seen wearing her old dresses. She once wore a blue-toned velvet kaftan during the promotion of her OTT film, Darlings. The dress had a deep V-neckline and flared sleeves adorned with embroidery all over. She completed her look with heavy silver jhumkas, and a black bindi. With minimal makeup, she looked ravishing in the avatar. Alia was seen in the same dress during actor, Armaan Jain's wife, Anisa's godh bharai ceremony. We loved the way she carried off the outfit with soft makeup and straight open hair adorned with a huge maang teeka, which added a pinch of gorgeousness to her subtle look.
Alia Bhatt once wore a black co-ord set during the promotion of her film in The Kapil Sharma Show. The outfit consisted of a deep-neck noodle-strap top and high-waist palazzo pants. She carried a floral shrug over it to round off her look. Going forward, she reappeared in the same piece while having a date night with the Shershaah actor and her ex-beau, Sidharth Malhotra. But Alia teamed the co-ord set with a brick-red-coloured shrug, making her look different. Bold eyeliner and open hair look added an oomph factor to her chic look.
Alia once wore a white and blue striped co-ord during a visit to Dharma Production’s office. The dress had star and moon motifs printed all over it, which she styled with the addition of a clinched belt. She complemented her look with two ponytails and no makeup. On the other hand, she was seen wearing this cute attire again during a dubbing session of her film, Gully Boy.
For Manish Malhotra’s Diwali bash in 2024, Alia Bhatt arrived in a pink lehenga with bandhani, jacquard, Banarasi brocade patchwork and a matching choli. With big chandbalis, Alia kept her makeup subtle. The attire Alia wore for the Diwali bash was the same she opted for during her mehendi ceremony in 2022.
In several interviews, Alia Bhatt has opened up about repeating her outfits. She said that she does not mind wearing an outfit again and again if it looks good on her. Taking inspiration from this leading actress, we can all now breathe a sigh of relief in terms of re-styling our once-favourite outfits.
