#1. Athletic figure

Since you are blessed with a toned-up frame, you can blindly opt for a crop top that bares your midriff. In fact, you can wear your lehenga a little low to flaunt your sculpted abs. And, when it comes to the lehenga fabric, make sure it is slightly stiff and well-flared as it would balance your lean frame by accentuating your curves. You can go for fabrics, like raw silk, organza, net, etc.

#2. Top-heavy figure

The first and foremost rule is not wearing a heavily-embellished or embroidered crop top as it will further accentuate your curves and make you look even heavier from the top. Instead, go for the plain ones in lightweight fabrics, such as satin, georgette, etc. And, since you cannot have embellishments on your crop top, add an interesting element in your look by opting bright colours and small prints.

#3. Voluptuous figure

Pair a crop top blouse that sits right at your navel along with a high-waist lehenga, which is about a centimetre away from your blouse. With this combination, just a thin part of your waist will be visible, and it will create an illusion of a slimmer built. Opt for the lehengas made of lightweight flowy fabrics like, georgette, chiffon, crepe, etc.

#4. Small-busted figure

Rock any party with a heavily-embellished or embroidered crop top along with a plain lehenga. The embellishments will give an illusion of a heavier top. With your type of body, do not shy away from wearing high-necks as they will suit you pretty well. But, make sure you do not wear any neck accessory as it will just make your overall look quite messy.

Other important dos and don’ts of wearing a crop top

  • If your crop top is short in length, then make sure it has full or at least quarter sleeves.
  • Since crop tops usually do not have scoop necks, so avoid wearing any accessory in neck. Instead, style yourself with statement earrings, bangles or maang tikka.
  • If you are wearing a lehenga and a crop top, then preferably wear it without a dupatta. And, if you do not want to ditch the dupatta, then simply drape it one of your shoulders.
