To-Be-Mommy, Neha Marda Rubbishes Myth That Women Can't Exercise During Pregnancy, Adds Facts

Neha Marda shared a video on her social media handle and burst common myths about pregnancy. She also added facts regarding eating, exercising, travelling and many more.

Popular actress, Neha Marda is expecting her first baby with hubby, Ayushman Agarwal, after almost 10 years of marital bliss. Undoubtedly, ever since she announced her good news on November 24, 2022, she has been sharing the perks of being pregnant and delighting her fans. Recently, she shared a cutesy video of herself bursting some common pregnancy myths. In the video, she was also seen flaunting her baby bump in an orange dress.

In the video shared by Neha on her IG handle, the mommy-to-be can be seen pointing out some common myths which every pregnant lady would find relatable. Along with the video, she penned a huge list of myths and added the facts behind them. Her note began with the myth numbered one which mentions that a pregnant woman can't have tea/coffee. However, Neha said that 1-2 cups daily is not bad. However, she also mentioned that 200ml of caffeine a day should be avoided as it increases the risk of miscarriage.

The 37 years actress, Neha mentioned that an expecting woman is often advised to eat for two persons. However, in reality, overeating results in maternal weight gain and child obesity. Thus, the actress asked her fans not to consume any extra calories. Moreover, she mentioned that the mommies in the last trimester might need 200 extra calories per day.

She also clarified whether an expecting mom should travel or not. To this, she shared that travelling should be restricted to not more than 5 to 6 hours. Neha added that stretching is essential every couple of hours and drinking enough water to stay hydrated.

On the same note, Neha also rubbished the myth, which says a mommy-to-be must not exercise. She mentioned that avoiding strenuous activities like jumping, bouncing, sudden jerk motions, advanced abdominal moves, and hot environments like hot yoga should be maintained. However, she added that 30 minutes of physical activity for at least five days a week is suitable for both the baby's and the mommy's health. It also enhances the mommy's mental health.

Finally, Neha concluded her note by talking about morning sickness, which people commonly say is a morning thing. However, the mommy-to-be said that this kind of nausea generally occurs at any time of the day and improves after 3 months.
