Too oily, too greasy, too spicy, too bland, too cold, or stale, and no variety. These are the things that most of the guests face at a wedding when it comes to food. And frankly speaking, the only highlight of going to a wedding for a non-family member is a hope to get a nice spread for one’s tummy!
Yes, that is really so boring! Guests hate to be subjected to that torture of sitting through all the ceremonies starting with the ribbon cutting, to the jaimala, the never-ending pheras, then the joota chupai, and finally, the much-stretched vidaai. Isn’t all this really interesting only for the close family and friends of the couple?

Because they are in such a rush to get every guest clicked, take candid shots of the couple and make that perfect wedding album that they sometimes speak very rudely to the guests to stand in a particular way, smile in a specific way, etc.
It really is not very comfortable to stand through a wedding. One needs to at least sit down to eat comfortably. But, when the wedding party does not arrange for as many chairs or table seating arrangements as there are people, it gets rather difficult and uncomfortable for the guests.

We know that giving out wedding favours is a generous act, but it is not as generous when the wedding party does it just for the heck of it. Giving bad quality glass wear or sweets from a substandard halwai are really in a very bad taste.

It is really disrespectful to not value other people’s time. Imagine arriving at a wedding at 8 pm because the invitation card said so, only to find that the groom and his family arrive at 10.30 pm, and the food gets laid at 11 pm. Do we need say more?
The loud and inappropriate music to be more specific! Weddings should be pious and pure with soft music that is soothing to the ears. All the DJ dancing can be done on the pre-wedding events. Loud music played by the DJ on which only some small kids are dancing, because the family is too busy with the arrangements and the guests do not care much to dance, can seriously be avoided!

Just to get a huge farm at a very low price or to suit the groom’s family, some wedding parties select locations for their wedding that are miles away from the city, and need to be reached after crossing dreadful traffic stretches. Kindly spare the guests that horror, and keep the wedding some place accessible; on the same planet!
It is really frustrating when you come to attend a wedding to another city, take leave from work, take all that trouble to come and stay at a cheap two-star, ill-equipped, and badly kept guest house. The least the wedding party can do to honour your time for making it to the wedding is arrange for a decent accommodation with the basic amenities.
