In an interview, Triptii Dimri recalled dealing with tough times when she moved to Mumbai for the first time to become an actor and also revealed her parents' decision.
Triptii Dimri has been basking in the huge box-office success of her latest released film, Animal, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and many others. The film has already made around Rs. 717.46 crores worldwide. For the unversed, Triptii began her career in the acting industry with the 2017 film, Poster Boys. Afterwards, she was seen in Laila Majnu, Bulbbul and Qala. However, the immense fame that Animal has given her is worth mentioning. After portraying the character of 'Zoya' in the film, she has been tagged as the 'National Crush' of India. However, her journey in the film business wasn't smooth, and now she has opened up about the same.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Triptii Dimri opened up about the time when she moved to Mumbai to become an actor. She mentioned that years back, when she took this decision, it was much against her parents' disapproval. She revealed that during her childhood, she was extremely quiet thus, when she told about her decision to her parents, they were shocked. Sharing how her parents reacted, Triptii said:
"In school, I was very quiet, never wanting any attention. I would sit somewhere in the center so that teachers wouldn't see me. In fact, when I started acting, my parents were shocked. They were like, you hardly open your mouth in front of relatives and now you're going to act in front of 200 people. How are you going to do that?"

Further, Triptii shared how, over time, she is able to balance things on her own and become better. In another interaction with Instant Bollywood, the Laila Majnu actress revealed that since the film business is an unstable industry, an actor needs to have a lot of patience even after getting some work. She was heard revealing that since her parents were unhappy with her decision to move to Mumbai, she could not ask for any money from them or anyone else.
In the same conversation with ETimes, Triptii was also asked about doing the intimate scenes in Animal, for which she garnered much praise. She shared how challenging it was and mentioned that shooting those scenes in her latest released film was nothing in comparison to the rape scene in Bulbbul. Talking about how doing the rape scene was more challenging, she mentioned:
"More than the scenes in 'Animal', the rape scene that I did in 'Bulbbul' was more challenging for me as a person, I won't say as an actor. As a person, that scene was more challenging because you're just giving up. And giving up is more difficult than finding courage to do something. If I can overcome that, then this scene in 'Animal' was nothing in comparison to that."

Earlier, in a candid conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Triptii opened up about her intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in the film, Animal, and revealed how her parents reacted to the same. She mentioned they were a little shocked, and it took some time for them to get over the scenes. Elaborating more about it, the actress said that she told her parents that she had not done anything wrong. In her words:
"My parents got a little taken aback. We have never seen something like this in films and you have done it. They were very sweet to me though. They were like, 'You shouldn't have done that but it's okay. As parents, we will obviously feel this'. And I told them I am not doing anything wrong. It's my job, and as long as I am comfortable and safe, I don't see any problem in that. I am an actor, and I have to be 100 per cent honest with the characters that I play, and I did that."
