Daughter of T-series fame Gulshan Kumar, Tulsi Kumar and her husband, Hitesh Ralhan embraced parenthood on December 24, 2017, with the arrival of their first child, a baby boy whom they lovingly named Shivaay Ralhan. After teasing her fans with the glimpses of the little one, Tulsi had finally delighted them with the first picture of him on May 13, 2018. Tulsi had captioned the mommy-son picture as, “Everyday is Special with u my baby Shivaay. But it comes with its own challenges - One of them is carrying all the extra pounds. Feels amazing to finally be back in shape after almost one and a half year of my son Shivaay’s birth. The journey of shedding weight has been a slow and gradual one for me as I went through a C -Section but a regular exercise regime, determination and patience make you win over everything and anything. On December 24, 2018, Tulsi Kumar and Hitesh Ralhan had celebrated their little munchkin, Shivaay’s first birthday and it was a Disneyland themed bash. Sharing pictures from the birthday party, Tulsi had written a heartfelt message for her baby boy which could be read as, “A very happy first Birthday to my Angel Shivaay Thank u my Son for introducing me to this beautiful Selfless feeling called Motherhood You complete Us May God always bless u with the best Love u sooo much my cutie #shivaay #1stBirthday #blessings”. In an interview with the Free Press Journal, Tulsi Kumar had thrown some light on how challenging it is for a woman to balance career and her baby. She had said, “You have to multitask. Being a mom is the most beautiful feeling and every person will agree with me because there is no feeling that can match up to going back to your son’s smiling face. My son for me is the most important person. But my career even after my marriage and baby, by God's grace, is going onwards and upwards.”
In an interview given to a leading media portal post giving birth, Tulsi Kumar had talked about her then-newborn son, Shivaay. Expressing her joy, she had remarked, “It is a great feeling that I am experiencing. One will experience it only when she is going through. I don’t know how but these motherly things just come to you naturally.” She had further added, “As the baby enters our life, so many things change with it overnight. Being a mother is a lovely feeling and I am enjoying every bit of it. It is a new process and my new beginning with the baby. There are yet a lot of things for me to learn.”
While there are many firsts for a parent when their child is born, Tulsi Kumar too, experienced them with Shivaay and had shared with her fans in an interview, “When I first heard him cry, I had tears in my eyes. I felt mixed emotions when I heard his cry and it is difficult for me to explain.
