Tusshar Kapoor reveals why he doesn't want to get married. The actor also talked about being happy as a single parent.
Actor, Tusshar Kapoor is an inspiration to all those single men, who dream about becoming a father. He had broken all the taboos and stereotypes of society when he had decided to become a single parent. The Golmaal actor, who had embraced fatherhood through IVF and had welcomed his baby boy, Lakkshya is living a happy life. So much that he doesn’t even wish to have a partner to spend the rest of his life.

Born on June 1, 2016, via surrogacy, Laksshya had become the heartbeat of the entire family. Tusshar is a hands-on father and has been acing his daddy duties. He has inspired many to take up surrogacy as an option to bring a life into their world. With the arrival of Laksshya, not only Tusshar, but his sister, Ekta Kapoor too had experienced what parenthood feels like. Just like her brother, Ekta too had opted for single parenting and had welcomed her baby boy, Ravie Kapoor through surrogacy.
Tusshar Kapoor completed 20 years in the film industry. In an interview with ETimes, the handsome actor talked about his marriage plans. Revealing that he doesn't find the need to get married, Tusshar said, “Never, because I wouldn't have gone through the process of becoming a single parent if I had any doubts about it. I did it at a time and age when I was ready for it and willing to take on the responsibility. I feel like I'm taking the right step. And as of today, I feel like my day is fulfilled because I have so many things to do with my son. There's no other option I could have opted for, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I will not share myself with anybody in the world right now or in the future. So all's well that ends well.”
In an interview with MensXP, Tusshar had opened up on his fatherhood journey and had shared, "I always wanted to be a father that was my first inspiration. It was something that came from within. Then, I met filmmaker Prakash Jha on the trip to Tirupati. On that car journey on my way back from Chennai, we spoke about this idea of becoming a single father and how it is possible. He enlightened me about the process. I took a few weeks, and thought about it. Introspected and made a firm decision to never turn back and fulfil my dream of being a single father."

To announce the birth of Lakkshya, Tusshar held a press conference at his home and had announced the news of becoming a father to the little munchkin. Tusshar had stated, “I wanted to be a father. I met Dr. Firuza Parikh and she suggested this procedure. I was at the right stage to become a single parent and I went ahead with what was told to me. I am happy that I have taken the right decision. Our family is complete now, we are five now, grandparents, me, my sister and little Laksshya."
