In fact, on the last birthday, on December 29, 2018, Akshay Kumar had taken to his Instagram to wish both of them. He had written, “While growing up I’d heard fascinating tales of his superstardom, never imagining one day I’ll marry his fascinating daughter...thank you for giving me this precious one. Commenting on his equation with his father-in-law, Akshay had once shared, "I knew him even before I met Tina. He was a producer and in my struggling days, I had visited his office 5-6 times to look for work. On one of my visits, he told me that he was making a film with Chunky Pandasy, post which I should come to him. We would call each other Buddies and he would often say, ‘Buddy what are you doing?’ He was a chilled out mind. I still remember the last holiday when we went with the family to Goa and can never forget that holiday. Even though he was very sick we took him along and even in that state, he would enjoy his alcohol and why not? Akshay and Twinkle have been married for 18 years now, and talking about his ladylove once, Bollywood’s khiladi was quoted as saying, “Twinkle has not only added to my wardrobe but also to my bank balance. I was a scattered person; she is the one who has put me together. After marriage, she has kind of raised me (Laughs). On a serious note, whenever I’ve broken down, she’s given me emotional support.”
