Twinkle Khanna revealed how once a relative mocked her daughter, Nitara, for her skin colour and compared her to her brother, Aarav Khanna.
Twinkle Khanna stands for everything that goes 'wrong' in the society. While she may not talk about it right up front, she will address the same in her columns as 'Mrs. Funny Bones', and most of the writers do the same. However, Twinkle Khanna, who is a mommy of two children, Aarav Kumar (21) and Nitara Kumar (11), has her own struggle in raising the two kids with a huge age gap. Amidst the everyday struggle, some relative's remarks on her younger daughter, Nitara's skin tone made things extremely difficult.
The struggle of every parent is to not let comparison come between their children, but relatives do not understand the idea of minding words before talking to a child. And Twinkle Khanna was left deep in the mess when a 'foolish relative' of hers made a remark about her daughter, Nitara. In her new column, Twinkle addressed the same and revealed how her daughter, Nitara stopped going for her swimming lessons.

Not only this Nitara expressed her wish to Twinkle of becoming the same colour as her bhaiya, Aarav. The actress-turned-wtiter further revealed how a foolish relative poisoned her mind with a 'skin-tone' remark. The excerpt from her column can be read as:
"There was a time when my little one wanted to discontinue her swimming lessons. A tan had become her nemesis. ‘I want to be the same colour as bhaiya.’ A chance remark by a foolish relative within her earshot had not gone unnoticed. ‘She is so cute but not as fair as her brother!’"
In her blog for The Times Of India, Twinkle revealed how her transformation from hot and sexy actress to a cow was marked when her husband told a visitor the reason for her unavailability. Twinkle stated that her motherhood journey began in 2002 with the arrival of her firstborn son, Aarav Kumar. Describing the incident, Twinkle penned:
"My initiation into motherhood began in 2002 when my son was born. This was the time when my husband told a visitor that I was unavailable because I was ‘milking’ and immediately sealed my transformation from a hot chick to a cow..."
