Recently, his co-star, Ankit Gupta, who was a contestant in Bigg Boss 16, spoke to Telly Chaska on December 8, 2023, about how Abhishek Kumar got into the Bigg Boss house. Ankit further revealed:
“Abhishek mila mujhe toh he said ki mujhe Bigg Boss karna hai. I said ‘okay’. Kehta mera karwao. Main bola yaar main kaise karwaun, mujhe toh shayad Bigg Boss khud nahi pasand karte. Toh bolta ki ‘nahi aap Colors mein itne time se kaam kar rahe ho, aap kisi ko toh jante honge, aap kisi ko kuch bolo kuch karwao.’ Then luckily, I had a friend, and I asked ki mera chota bhai aap ek bar uski profile check kar lo, mil lo agar possible hai toh. And wo mile, actually uski baat aage badh gayi. They liked him aur ho gaya.”
