Legendary singer, Udit Narayan rejoices, as his two and a half year old granddaughter has already started singing his songs.
Udit Narayan is one of the eminent and legendary singers of our country, and undoubtedly, his fame doesn’t require an introduction. In his career spanning across decades, the singer has delivered some of the most remarkable melodies to the audiophiles, and even now, his songs tug a chord in the hearts of many. More recently, many new films have reprised several iconic songs of Udit, thereby hyping him in the hearts of millions once more. However, despite the enormous fame, it seems Udit’s new identity as a doting grandpa has given him sheer joy, even more than his professional achievements.
In his personal life, Udit Narayan is currently enjoying the bliss of being a grandfather to his two and a half year old poti, Tvisha. For the unversed, Udit’s son, Aditya Narayan and his wife, Shweta Agarwal got blessed with their baby girl in March 2022. Ever since the little one’s arrival, the family has been rejoicing with sheer bliss. And now, during a recent interaction with ETimes, Udit Narayan revealed how his granddaughter has already followed his footsteps and learned to sing. He mentioned:
“She is already learning singing and dancing. We recently watched her perform in an auditorium with other kids. I was left surprised by how good these kids are at such a young age.”

Moving forth in his revelation, Udit Narayan then revealed how the apple of his eye, Tvisha sometimes stuns him, when she sings along with him, some of his popular songs, such as Udd Ja Kaale Kaavan and Main Nikla Gaddi Leke. The legendary artist and a hands-on grandpa, Udit, further added how he compulsorily manages to take out some time from his busy schedule for her, so that he gets to spend time with Tvisha. Moreover, Udit gushed over how his poti helps him to get relieved of the stress and exhaustion at work.
Earlier, in another interview with ETimes, Udit Narayan had opened up about his granddaughter, Tvisha already being capable of identifying and connecting with music, much to his and his son, Aditya Narayan’s surprise. Adding how the toddler keeps humming different tunes, Udit Narayan shared:
“She keeps humming a tune and we are all surprised that she already connects with music. She is also moody at times and starts kicking. Watching her do all this keeps me happy all day. My favourite song for her is from the film Anaari - Choti Si Nanhi Si Pari and of course Oh I Love You Daddy (Akele Hum Akele Tum), which was sung by Adi and me.”

In the same conversation, Udit Narayan was asked about whom does Tvisha resemble more to, among the family members. The singer said that while sometimes, the baby girl looks like his parents, some other times, she resembles her grandparents. Talking about the aspirations he has for his granddaughter’s career ahead, Udit Narayan added:
“Tvisha sometimes looks like Adit and Shweta. But there are times when I feel she looks like me and her grandmother. I am sure that she will become a singer. Adit was a very lovely child when he was born. Tvisha is even better so and makes us ten times happier. Woh kehte hai na phasal se jyada sud pyaara hota hai."
