In the early 2000s, Bollywood was packed with a series of stunning and exceptionally-talented actresses. It was a time when casting directors used to scratch their heads for months, as there were too many brilliant actresses, who didn't fear to experiment. During that time, a stunning diva from India's devbhoomi, Uttarakhand made her way into Bollywood at the age of 19 and made an instant impact on the big screen with her acting. Not only this, she was even compared to Hollywood actresses by many people for her facial features. However, just when everyone thought that she would be one of the leading actresses in Bollywood, she quit acting to follow her passion for DJing. The actress was none other than one of the hottest divas of all time, Udita Goswami.
Udita Goswami was born on February 9, 1984, in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The actress was born into a middle-class family, and while her father was from Banaras, her mother was from Shillong. Not only this, Udita's grandmother was of Nepalese descent. Udita completed her schooling from Dehradun's two famous schools, Cambrian Hall and D.A.V. Public School.
Once, in an old interview, Udita Goswami recalled the time when she walked on a ramp at the age of 16 and how it completely changed her life. The actress revealed that she did a ramp walk for a fashion institute, and after doing it, she decided to make her career in modelling. As a result, she shifted to Delhi from Dehradun to get into the modelling industry. Udita revealed that she participated in a series of fashion events and even sent some of her pictures to MTV's Model Mission Contest.
Courtesy of her beauty and the perfection in her ramp walks, Udita Goswami was selected by MTV, and she eventually won the competition. It was a major milestone for her as she started receiving a lot of projects in the modelling industry. Soon after working with brands like Titan Watches, Pepsi, and many more, Udita Goswami was cast in the film, Paap by Pooja Bhatt. The actress made her acting debut at the age of 19 opposite John Abraham in a crime thriller. For her impressive performance in the Paap, Udita was nominated for Zee Cine Awards for Best Female Debut.
After her impressive debut in Bollywood with Paap, Udita Goswami worked opposite Emraan Hashmi in the film, Zeher: A Love Story. The film was directed by Mohit Suri, who was Emraan's cousin. During the shooting of Zeher, Mohit and Udita came closer and became close friends.
While on one side, people were in awe of Emraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami's sizzling chemistry in the film, the actress was romantically involved with her co-star's cousin, Mohit Suri, in real life. After working together in Zeher, Emraan and Udita were seen in the film, Aksar and once again, they broke the headlines with their bold sequences and steamy kisses.
Once, in an old interview, Udita Goswami opened up about her desire to work in Hollywood. The actress shared that she had met so many renowned Hollywood stars and could work with them in the future. Back in that time, no one knew that Diary of a Butterfly, which was released in 2012, would be her last film. To everyone's surprise, Udita Goswami quit acting and gave up on her dream to work in Hollywood as she became heavily inclined towards her passion for DJing.

Udita Goswami and Mohit Suri met for the first time after the latter cast her in his film, Zeher: A Love Story, opposite his cousin, Emraan Hashmi. The couple came closer while working on the sets and soon started dating. However, it was around 2008 to 2009 when they went through a rough patch in their relationship and reportedly stopped dating.
However, in 2010, Udita and Mohit mended their ways, came back stronger and continued their relationship. Finally, it was on January 29, 2013, when Mohit Suri and Udita Goswami got married at an ISKCON temple in Juhu. While their wedding was an intimate affair, Udita and Mohit's reception was no less than an award night.
It was in January 2015 when Udita and Mohit embraced parenthood for the first time after she gave birth to a baby girl, whom the elated couple named Devi Suri. Many people admire Mohit and Udita for the way they kept working on their relationship and eventually tied the knot. However, on November 21, 2018, the couple embraced parenthood as they welcomed a baby boy and named him Karrma Suri.
