As Agastya Nanda made his debut in the film industry, with his film, 'The Archies', we stumbled upon an old photo of his 'mamu', Abhishek Bachchan, which resembles with the former.
Zoya Akhtar's directorial, The Archies, was released on the OTT platform, Netflix on December 7, 2023. The film marks the debut of Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda, Shah Rukh Khan's princess, Suhana Khan and late Sridevi's younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor. Along with the three booming actors, the film also has Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda, Dot, and others in the star cast. Ahead of its release, the makers of the film, hosted a special premiere night for the eminent names in the industry, on December 5, 2023, at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Thus, since then, the film's young actors have been trending on social media. And now, we stumbled upon an old picture of Abhishek Bachchan, which resembles Agastya Nanda.
For the premiere night, Agastya Nanda opted for a black tuxedo and paired it with a crisp white shirt underneath, along with a black bow tie and shoes. He looked simply dapper in his outfit and was seen posing with the entire The Archies team. Along with him, we could also spot Mihir Ahuja and Vedang Raina looking dapped in black suits, whereas Suhana Khan stunned in a red shimmery bodycon dress, and Khushi Kapoor donned her late mother's golden gown.

While scrolling through our IG feeds, we stumbled upon an old photo of Abhishek Bachchan and his father, Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh had reportedly shared the photo on his IG handle once. In the photo, Amitabh donned a white shirt paired with a beige-hued suit and a red tie. On the other hand, Abhishek looked handsome in a black suit teamed with a white shirt and maroon tie. However, it was the uncanny resemblance between Abhishek's and Agastya's facial features, especially their noses, foreheads, lips, and the entire mouth portion, that caught our attention. Upon closely looking into the picture, we found that Agastya has indeed inherited some genes from his mamu.
Abhishek and Agastya share an extremely friendly bond, and proof of this is often found. For instance, to support his nephew in his debut film, the entire Bachchan family, including Abhishek with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan, father, Amitabh Bachchan, mother, Jaya Bachchan, sister, Shweta Bachchan and niece, Navya Naveli Nanda arrived in style. While Aishwarya, Abhishek, Aaradhya and Amitabh were seen twinning in black-hued ensembles with Agastya, the other ladies of the family opted for varied stunning outfits. The entire Bachchan and Nanda families were seen happily posing for the paps stationed outside there.

Not only at the special premiere, but Abhishek had also cheered for Agastya in one of his social media posts. It was on November 9, 2023, when the official streaming platform, Netflix dropped the much-anticipated trailer of the film, The Archies, and it received much appreciation from various friends and family members of all the debutants. Then, Abhishek Bachchan also took to his IG handle and re-shared the trailer, while cheering for his nephew, Agastya. Reminiscing about the booming actor’s childhood days, Abhishek penned:
“This is just so cool! Can’t wait to see it. Agastya, I’m so, so proud of you. From jumping on my bed as a kid playing the air guitar to jumping out of the screen with a real one….. the journey has just begun. Play hard! Zo, you’ve knocked it out of the park again! And to the rest of the kids and the crew, all the very best. Very exciting. Welcome to the movies!”
