Iravati Harshe, who plays Shamshera’s wife and Billa’s mother in the film is one of the popular names in the television industry. The actress started her acting career in the 1990s, and her first significant role was in the popular Doordarshan serial, Shanti, in which she starred with actress, Mandira Bedi. Iravati Harshe made her television debut in 1999 with the serial, Chota Muh Aur Badi Baat, with which, she received many offers. Later she was seen in supporting roles in shows like Surabhi, Shanti, Waris, Kabhie Kabhie. She was also loved as Dr Smriti Malhotra in Sanjivani-A Medical Boon.
Iravati Harshe also worked in a show named Tanha, which was a joint venture of India and Pakistan, where she played the role of Rukhsana. The show, which received huge ratings starred popular Pakistani actors Sajid Hasan and Marina Khan.
The talented Iravati Harshe is very well-versed in many languages. The multi-lingual actress can speak Hindi, Marathi, English, and French fluently.

Apart from being a television actress, Iravahti Harshe is a well-known dubbing artist. She has dubbed Madhuri Dixit’s voice in the French version of the blockbuster film, Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Apart from this, Iravati was the voice behind Nicole Kidman in the Hindi version of The Golden Compass. She has also dubbed for the Hindi version of Face Off.
In the year 2000, Iravati Harshe starred in the critically acclaimed, period film, Hey Ram, directed by the legend, Kamal Hassan, who also played the lead role in the film along with Rani Mukerji. The film, which depicted India’s Partition and assassination of Mahatma Gandhi also starred Shah Rukh Khan in a supporting role. Iravati Harshe played the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, Nafisa in the film. The actress had to speak her lines in Tamil, which according to her was a great challenge.
Some of her other Bollywood films include Shararat, Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye, We Are Family, Hate Story, Simmba and Shamshera.

Iravati Harshe was honoured with the Zee Chitra Gaurav Award for Best Actress for the Marathi film, Kaasav in 2017.
Iravati Harshe is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and had done many shows. In one of her throwback interviews, the actress spoke about the same and said:
“I'm a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. Since 1996, I haven't done professional shows. Now, I want to take it up again. May be, I will.”
Iravati Harshe is married to Captain Rohit Mayadev and is a doting mother to two beautiful daughters, Devika Mayadev and Isha Mayadev.
