Janhvi is on cloud nine as her film has been appreciated by all and she got a warm welcome in the industry. But at this celebration moment, one person whom Janhvi is missing the most is her late mother, Sridevi. Sridevi’s sudden and untimely demise created a void in the Kapoor family. And being a pampered mommy’s little girl that she was, how Janhvi grew up overnight post Sridevi’s demise is really commendable. In an interview with Filmfare, when Janhvi was asked if she is emotionally settled now, she replied, “No. I haven't got around the acceptance stage yet. It's just that there hasn't been time or I haven't allowed myself the time to come to terms with everything. There's a stage of denial that we're all going through. I wanted to shoot the next day (after the cremation). But the shoot got cancelled. I was like, No, I must go back, I need to be on the set. I thought I was going to lose my mind if I didn't do that. And I would have, promise you, if I didn’t have Dhadak. If I didn't have the opportunity to act or be in front of the camera, there would have been no purpose in life to keep me going.” (Also Read: Boney Kapoor Talks In Length About Arjun-Anshula's Bonding With Janhvi-Khushi After Sridevi's Demise)

The 21-year-old actress further added, “I didn’t spend much time with her. There were moments when I wanted to stay home with mom. But then I thought I’ll keep working and she’ll be happy at the end of it. Now, there are moments where I feel l should’ve allowed her to be part of this journey. But I wanted to do it on my own and then show it to her. The validation that I wanted from her, I now look for in her fans.” (Don't Miss: Sanjay Dutt Had An Affair With Madhuri Dixit When His First Wife Richa Was Battling With Tumour)

At the press conference held in Mumbai on July 26, 2018, Janhvi was asked about her reaction to the reviews of her film. She stated, "I did a yay 100 times when they praised me and cried in the bathroom when it was a nay." When asked about being referred to as a ‘star kid’ and now stepping away from that tag, Janhvi was quoted as saying, "I hope so. Speaking for myself, I think I have a long way to go. I don't think one film can mean success. Even though it means the world to me, I still feel that there is a lot more than I need to do and aspire to do, to earn love and affection and acceptance from people. I know that I need to do a lot more to earn that. But it is a stepping stone."

Talking about her future plans in the industry, Janhvi retorted, "I will try to impress people in the future because this is what I love doing more than anything else so, I just want to keep at it. I think one thing that I have taken away with is you just need to keep working, improving and keep finding a reason to stay positive." (Also Read: Arjun Kapoor Reveals Why He And Anshula Are There For Boney, Janhvi And Khushi, Post Sridevi's Death)
